I feel that Live offered a level of service re: online play that Sony never quite caught up to this gen. The fee was modest enough that I often let it renew without noticing. If you keep your eyes open, you will never pay full price for a year. If MS hadn't built up a sense of worth around their system, no one would have paid for it.
MS has definitely been dropping the ball lately, and I will not be paying for two online consoles' fees. We'll have to see what they offer.
Turning on a 360 when it's not online is weeeeeird. So lonely.
