E3 2011: Wishes, Expectations, Surprises, and Disappointments
E3 is less than a month away, and the press conferences are being confirmed (in center of the universe time):
- Konami - June 2, 8pm (pre-E3)
- Microsoft - June 6, 12:30pm
- EA - June 6, 3:30pm
- Ubisoft - June 6, 5:30pm
- Sony - June 6, 8pm
- Nintendo - June 7, noon
Here is what I want to see, which is a mix of the aforementioned wishes and expectations:
- Activision - Bankruptcy and/or Bobby Kotick assassination
- Bethesda - Fallout 4 with id Tech 5
- Capcom - Dino Crisis 4, Darkstalkers, and an apology for RE5
- Cave - iOS exclusive shooter so that heads explode
- EA - Mass Effect 3: Focus Group Free Edition and an Old Republic date!
- Konami - CastleSpainia 2, Castlevania and Contra 3DS, Gradius VI
- Microsoft - Gears of War 2/3 on PC and a Kinect-exclusive Halo for lulz
- Namco - More Move-enabled light gun games and a Cafe Ridge Racer
- Nintendo - F-Zeros, Mario Karts, Star Foxes, Yoshi games... and no elves
- Sega - Aliens (finally) and Move-enabled light gun games
- Sony - Uncharted NGP: Touchscreen Bullshit Free Edition
- Square-Enix - Matsuno has to be doing something, right?
- Ubisoft - Rayman Origins (not a $60 flash game)
- Valve - Half-Life (not Episode) 3
I'm sure I missed a bunch of shit, and it's nice to talk about games instead of hardware for a change, so have at it.
