Ports of games they're already doing for everything else but later in most cases?
What would they show otherwise? It's a step up from the embarrassing "me too" versions of big ticket games the third parties release, like Baby's First Call of Duty, et al. It's a year or more away, all they can do really is show off what they're showing off now. It's more a symbol of their support to bring the same experience to the Ninty console that they've done on the others.
TEKKEN HYBRID JUST ANNOUNCED!!!
It's the 3D Bluray of the new movie, and it comes with TTT HD!!!
EDIT: Also, Wii U and 3Ds are getting Tekken games.
Ugh can Nintendo just go 3rd party game dev already? Who wants to play on a TV and another screen in their lap - how is that at all going to appeal to the casual wii crowd? Ok so they hinted Battlefield 3 might be on the system (or any other online game) - we all know nintendo's online service sucks and always will. MS and Sony are miles ahead of them in that area. Friend codes yo. 3rd party support, heh. They always say they have 3rd party support when they announce a console - and they never get it.
I don't think that a system with as much if not more power than current gen systems is gonna get late ports. 3rd partys like money too. Plus they have the added advantage of a powerful portable tablet to play thier games on. This could be really big, at least till the other hardware guys bring out their real next gen stuff, which looks to be 2013 or so. nintendo shouldn't have been so greedy withthe Wii and got this system out a year earlier.
The tablet isn't portable. It streams data from the console.
And the games they showed will almost all be out before this console, so they will be late ports.
