How is there not more info on Minecraft 360? I mean it's only a game selling well over 2 million and counting with zero marketing budget, you'd think that would earn a few more details. Maybe Sony will have more info when it's (probably) announced for PS3 as well.

That's really kinda disappointing to know. My PC is already 3 generations of video hardware ahead of it, and we're gonna see probably 2 more before they think about replacing their massively popular and therefore catered to development platform.

My lord. DICE just took the biggest shit on every FPS dev. In-game looks like all the CG trailer crap everyone else is showing. Those explosions were unreal. Very quick fix of the multiplayer there but it looked hot as fuck. Looks like theres some new movement options - did I see a slide? As a Battlefield tank whore that didnt disappoint. Much more realistic and less arcadey tone. Dont forget BF3 multiplayer is being streamed live tomorrow for FOUR hours from battlefield.com.
EDIT: OMG Jaffe is on Spike TV now showing off twisted metal, directly following the EA and BF3 demo - and hes APPOLOGIZING for his game's graphics compared to "what we just saw on that amazing BF3 demo". Too good!

Reading over all these announcements, unless I missed something orgasmic, this has been the most underwhelming E3 in a long time. Everything is Kinect and Move, and it's all horrible.
I always thought that the 3DS was priced too high, but the only way Sony could compete even with its superior tech was to price the thing at $249. They did just that, which absolutely shocked me.
I give Sony's conference a B. The Move stuff was stupid, but was kept to a minimum. I liked Sony's presentation of games better, and the VitaPitaMasterZita pricing was spot on.
Let's see what Nintendo shows tomorrow.

I was thinking (hoping) all along that the wifi only version would be $250 but I thought for sure the 3G version would have been a hundred bucks more. They really did knock it out if the park with the Vita. I will more than likely snag the wifi model. The rest of the day kind of blew though.

3DS having 3D doesn't really mean anything. It's a useless, headache-inducing gimmick.
I might have enough of a tech boner to buy a Vita, but I'd feel dumb if there were no great games. Hopefully it gets a few must-plays (I'm not sure if the PSP had many, in retrospect), because I really want an excuse to buy one.
Sony made the move they knew they needed to make. It's a good price for a nice machine. I really hope the software support is stronger than it was for the PSP. The ball is in Nintendo's court now. Maybe they'll price cut by Christmas. More likely they'll introduce a bundle for the same price with a first party pack-in.

As for $250 for portable tech - fucking cellphones run this much nowdays.
They need to drop the 3DS to 199.99 before Vita comes out. I'm REALLY surprised Sony hit the 249.99 price point with the wifi model. I really expected that to be 299.99. Sony is trying really hard to do better with the Vita than they did with PSP. Hopefully they'll do a better job of supporting it with software for more than a year after launch this time.
