Just saw on another site that Skyward Sword for Wii is done. I figured since the lack of info they would have shelved it until the WiiU. So that's one question I had down.
The other is how are they going to handle everything purchased on the shop channel? It's well known that if your Wii dies you can't recover a gamertag and re-download everything. It's tied to the system. When the system dies, your shit is gone. So will they allow all the Wii purchases to carry over to the new system?
Sega on Dreamcast wasn't awesome. The decline was in full swing already at that point.

Saturn sucked for Sega's own arcade ports. Dreamcast was way better off in that area.

That's very possible, but they created stuff I don't like, with the exception of Shenmue and JGR. On the other hand, the Genesis had loads of Sega racing ports, Panzer Dragoon, Virtua Cop, House of the Dead, etc. I guess the message is that I like Sega arcade games better than the stuff most of their home teams make. The Saturn had huge mistakes too, the obvious ones being no Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, 2D Sonic, etc. But the DC didn't fix any of those either.Quote:

Probably missing a few on both platforms.
I kinda get the impression that Sega left more of their arcade games without home releases during the Dreamcast era, but at the same time, the Dreamcast ports are relatively uncompromised whereas most of the Saturn ports of the bigger games are serious steps down. Some of these are okay (Virtua Fighter 2), but others (Virtual On, The House of the Dead) I wouldn't want to touch. The only Dreamcast port that falters significantly, as far as I can tell, is Sega Rally 2, and even that is far closer to the original than Saturn Sega Rally.
The games themselves, though? I put VF3 over VF2, HotD2 over HotD, VOOT miles over VO, and I love Crazy Taxi and Cosmic Smash. I think I'd have to go with the DC-ported games.
this is way more fun to talk about than the E3 stuff.
Also I had like 100 different peripherals for that system, easily more than I have for maybe every other system combined. What the fuck.

i could not find Ico/SOTC HD, but from videos I've seen it will be glorious.
SFxTekken looks like a faster SSFIV with characters i dont know. A lot of combos that would land in SSFIV didnt seem to land in Tekken.
I saw a second of Dragons Dogma and its 30fps/Sub30fps was killing it. It looks like Monster Hunter.
Pixeljunk Sidescroller looks exactly like Shooter, but now a side scroller (theoretically it should be good, right?)
Skyward Sword looks boring. Link also looks mentally challenged all the time since the motion plus controls the sword, and he looks like hes holding it in front of him staring at it the whole time.
I finally got my hands on a 3DS, and played MGS3 3D. The 3DS effect felt so weird, i felt like i had to keep going semi-cross eyed to make it work. While using the face buttons for camera control on the PSP was a halfway decent solution to not having a second analog, it feels backward for the 3ds to not have included a second analog stick.
Which then brings me to the PSPVita. What you see is what you get. The screen is great, it is pretty much a slate in how it feels, flat on both sides. The screen is large and beautiful, and all the games i played looked great (LBP, Sound Shapes, Little Deviants [which is the killer app for all the features on the Vita but will be ignored], Virtua Tennis, and Uncharted).
Little Deviants Augmented reality shooter game has you moving 360 degrees around you and up and down shooting enemies, it was really fun.
When i played uncharted, years of handheld gaming without dual analog sticks kept rearing its ugly head. When i would move to aim and shoot in uncharted i was STILL reaching for the face buttons, only to screw up, remember there was a second analog, and go back to playing. It IS uncharted on a portable, doesnt seem to mix it up too much. The touch controls are not forced, but it is nice at times to just draw a line and let Drake do the moving.
Its also going to take some getting used to in remembering the back touch panel is there. In LBP there was a segment of bringing out a bridge with the back touch screen, i guess the game only supports single touch, because it wasnt working for me until the guy walking me through the games told me it was better if i made sure to only use one finger.
