Thanks Rated E! Lots of good stuff.
My hair is very thin, and I cut it myself. Also, I've been dyeing but I've gone back to what I'm fairly sure is my natural color.
This whole process is weird. Thanks for the advice!

I miss long hair.
But my hair thinned, and I'm a little pudgy now. And Long hair doesn't really rock well with either.
Stem cells, bro.
Thinning hair and fat cells.
I picked up a Wahl Peanut for $50 and I'm pretty happy with it. It cuts close enough that I can use it on my face, and it has a nice long heavy-duty power cord.
I'll never go back to cordless clippers/trimmers. The batteries just go to shit after a year or so.
I love that thing. I lost mine somewhere and replaced it with a wahl cordless.
Rated E gave some good advice with the no blow drying. But I thought I'd add that you should really get a nice big-toothed comb to run through it after showers, let it air dry a bit before you use a bristle brush, helps keep tangles to a bare minimum.(I personally hate the metal prong brushes.) Also, if you want to speed up the growing process a bit, you should trim the ends every 2 months or so, even if they don't look very split yet. If you get split ends a lot/start to have unreasonably dry hair, the aussie conditioners work best.
