OK that's a little weird.

Maybe Opaque is Captain Hook. He's quite serious and a pirate of much repute.

I just don't want to look like Nixon if I go out for a few beers. That's hardly extreme.

I would also recommend Wahl. I've never oiled mine, although you can. I'm a fan of the Josh approach, where I throw the shit away after a year or so.

Which Wahl do you recommend? I guess I'll deal with oiling or so it's just inconvenient. I have a Wahl now that came in a case with color-coded attachments although I can only use one. :(

haha, same here. I just bought a pair of thinning shears for like $15 and i love them. I'll go through a pair of cheapy scissors every 6 months, and replace my straight razor blades every other time.

I'd actually recommend the opposite. Get a decent pair of shears and you'll totally notice the difference. Not crazy expensive, but spend $30.

And you can get good shears sharpened for $5. They'll last years.
