The art style is Frazetta/Vallejo by way of the anatomy of Liefeld. It is what it's supposed to be due to its influences. I've got no problem with it.

I can see people not liking how every character has some part crazy exaggerated, caricature-style, but anyone offended is just looking for a reason, like so many other things.
The "offense" over this game's art always has had a bit of a white knight feel to it.
I'm just saying don't buy a used vita. Especially not a white one after this comes out.
I personally think this game has badass art. You guys are crazy.
Here's how I see it: At this point I can just roll my eyes and say "Oh, Japan," and I can leave it at that. They have such a rich history of awkward, puerile perspectives on females and how to deal with/represent them that it's not even worth pointing it out any more. Just assume that 90% of men from Japan are maladjusted virgin sex freaks and enjoy what's left of their video game industry.
The female designs don't seem at all out of place in this game.
