Who the hell was rejecting 2D on the DC?
Bernie Stolar dropped the ball with the ram cartridge.
X-Men vs Street Fighter could've expanded the mar-ket.
Game brought the Vita to its knees, just wallowing in slowdown when I hopped on a dinosaur with my full party and blew up the room of ignitable barrels. High-res 2D, forever the bane of videogame systems.
I've been rocking the elf and I just tried out the wizard, and they did a pretty awesome job of having spellcasters play different than physical classes. I wanted to push on further but I went back to the elf at least until I clear out the requisite number of dungeons to unlock multi. I love that all the equipment is shared between characters so that I can gear people up right away and actually care about the stuff I collect that can't be used on my current character.
p.s. Don't forget to grab the narration DLC which is free during this first month.
I put in like 90 minutes last night, and this is way deeper than any previous Vanillaware game. I'm digging how you can just find bones and resurrect adventurers to take with you.
Hold on to them if you can, there is a quest later to res 30 people and it doesn't count previous resses. I've done way more than 30.
I think I got to the "Grindy" part. I was level 12 when I beat a Level 15 zone, and then 13 when I got to a Level 17 zone. I went back real quick and did all of the sidequests that I could (completionist wtf) and got up to 16 then a story element happened and it's grind city.
Somewhere around the 6 hour mark and haven't unlocked multi yet either.
Edit: RE: Narration packs. The fighter makes me laugh at how ridiculous he sounds, Sorceress has Chie's VA so if you want saucy Chie narration go for that.
You have to clear the first nine dungeons to unlock multi.
I've been going back to do every quest as it comes up so my progression has been fine so far, but I'm used to doing that sort of thing as this game actually has a similar layout to some F2P games like Dragon Nest and Vindictus.
Dungeons or Areas?
I really meant to play this last night, but the sultry salty betting siren call allured my brother and I :(
Will try to unlock multi by end of night
I read dungeons. The first nine dungeons are the A paths and once you clear those (and "beat" the game) it unlocks multiplayer and the B paths (which also have different bosses) and hard mode. I think we have to beat hard mode to unlock inferno, and maybe just a normal completion to unlock the endless dungeon.
But I think you might have to unlock multi for each character? That would kind of suck.
I'm on the level 12 dungeon which is number seven by my count, so I think you might be on the last one.
