Or, if you can break their combo breaker on reaction with your own combo breaker your combo stops, but that breaker deals HUGE damage.
But then you break that breaker, and the screen is all c's and b's and o's and m's. You can't even see the characters anymore.
The breaker in MK is just a stop gap solution, it does next to no damage to the offensive character. It's just a means to slap on a potential tourniquet and to gather yourself. It takes 2 bars to do it and that's an investment. Use it at the wrong time or fail to go on the offensive and you're gonna be in real trouble. It's not a win button.
Maybe if it was harder to do the breaker? I liked DOA 4's way, it wasn't just the same two buttons to get out, you hit the direction and you have to guess the correct height of the attack, almost like a parry. The breakers in DOA 4 did a lot of damage though.
Then it says BREAKER in God's voice.
The risk in MK is not having any more meter to break another combo. It's not exactly easy to gain meter in that game.
The guy who just won EVO in Mortal Kombat hardly uses breakers at all and plays an offensive rush down Kung Lao, using all his meter for EX moves and X-Ray attacks.
The best defense is a good offense.
That's only true with a very select few in MK who have the option to rush down safely. Kung Lao can beat the shit out of almost anyone with the spin attack and quick as fuck teleports. Don't be dense.
He is top tier. His mix up is gross, saw some of that in the final. Wish I saw more Cyrax in that final. There was one really wild combo shown, Reo kept dropping at the start! I think he was surprised when he caught Legend.
Too good. If I guess they will break, i should be able to bait and punish hard, with a full new combo.
