I've only seen the trailer, and some of the levels looked cool artistically, but some looked so awful I wanted to die. I didn't realize there was any excitement for this game.

Played this for a few hours, glad I rented it, non-committal on a purchase even at $20
Yeah, this one didn't get past the "does this interest me based on 500 word internet previews" stage for me. It might as well be Cooking Mama meets My Little Pony.
Definitely surprised by the high marks this is getting. Maybe it is good but I didn't like the demo outside of the visuals. Maybe I was doing it wrong but it took forever to beat some of the enemies (looked like some small arena) and I just got tired and quit.
Found this for $13 this week and figured that sounded about right. God help me, I'm kind of enjoying it, although I've only played maybe an hour so far. It's as pretty as it is pretentious, I've walked long distances looking at scenery without an enemy to liven up the place, and the combat system seems pretty simple so far, but apparently sightseeing with a bit of straightforward combat is what I'm in the mood for right now.

I lost interest a few hours in. The combat never really seems to evolve. I should break it out and finish it one of these days because the story/setting is very cool.
Wait, there's a story? I thought it was just a random collection of pseudo-mystical semi-biblical audio clips hinting at some kind of narrative, with the occasional bit of video to remove any kind of storytelling coherence.

Don't worry. Everything's fine.
