Definitely. Dawn was defintely a good flick. The first Texas chainsaw was a good remake and the Maniac remake with Elijah Wood looks awesome. There's a place for it, but the reliance of the remake in the last decade has been dismal for the most part.Quote:

I'm very happy that this is clearly Evil Dead, but the trailer makes it feel absolutely nothing like Evil Dead at the same time. Cautiously optimistic, but I'll definitely see this one.

Word out of SXSW is positive, that this installment is the real deal.
Another tantalyzing tidbit coming out of the screenings is the post credits scene: As the cabin is shown, a rift opens up and a figure falls to the ground. When the figure lifts it's head, it is revealed to be Bruce Campbell as Ash! Fuck yeah! Hopefully it's not just omething they tacked on for SXSW, but it adds fuel to the news report that Raimi is working on the script for Army of Darkness 2/Evil Dead 4.
That is amazing. I want to see this movie for sure if confirmed.
I have never felt this optimistic for a remake in my life. I can't wait for this!
