3D is a gimmick, people get over gimmicks.
I'm all about remakes/reinterpretations of a brand if they're done right. The problem is other than the LotR Trilogy being so much better than the animated pile of shit from the 70s and the new True Grit I can think of zero times that a remake has been better. So that's what, 2 out of thousands?

I enjoyed Ransom, 3:10 to Yuma, The Magnificent Seven, Fistful of Dollars, AND MOTHERFUCKING LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS!
It was easy to see True Grit or 3:10 to Yuma turning out good, even if superiority to the original is debateable.
The big issue usually is why, unless you're bringing something new to the film. True Grit failed that test.
The most pointless remake ever was Psycho with Vince Vaughn. I chuckled just typing that sentence.

You can argue what you want about 3d being how we see the world, 3d movies don't look like you're looking into the world, they look like you're staring at a diorama.
On top of that, wearing the glasses fucks up the brightness of the movies and just plain sucks.
