Both.
I wanted us to keep losing.
When it hit the sixth game I knew we had no post season and I was worried we'd be keeping Norv. My roommate goes "no way they keep him" and I said "not if he wins a bunch of fucking pointless games in December. We need losses now so this shit can end". Fuck me for being right. FUCKING FUCK SHIT FUCK.
well they lost that crucial game in detroit that would've launched them towards the afc west crown contender status. You'd figure that would have been enough. I can understand keeping Norv for football reasons and cohesion (see Houston texans transition from 6-10 in 2010 to 10-6 in 2011 while keepin same staff despite calls for firings). But business in san diego is one huge reason they should've tried to bring in a big name new coach, get those seats filled in the stadium. A big name like gruden, or fisher could've gone a long way.
That's the thing about it, they want a new stadium but teams that get six game losing streaks and a worse W-L ratio every year for four years aren't deserving of a new stadium.
We've learned our lesson after we built the Padres Petco and they haven't accomplished shit since and have even go so far as to have an annual fire sale on talent after every season ends.
That team has no business winning 8 games especially in that weak-shit division. They have more talent than Denver at practically every position. 11 at least imo.
Sounds like the owner is a cheap-ass trying to raise the value of his team with taxpayer money.
No way. Going from first to third in a week in a year where they weren't going to win anything anyway is a blessing. And Romo was far and away the best QB who didn't make the playoffs. His defense let him down in a huge way. His backup didn't come in and throw 6 TDs.
The playoffs started! Why in the hell are people still talking about terrible, irrelevant teams like the Cowboys and Jets? Start talking about them again around draft time imo.
