The Pinball Arcade

Been bouncing back between FX2 and Arcade.

3 360 updates on P.Arcade. They fixed the leaderboards and table breaking glitches (as far as I can see). The flipper warp issue is still happening. Once per two plays now.

P.Arcade on Android. They broke their leaderboard again by adding alternatives to facebook. Framerate issues still make things pretty bad. But having 12 tables is soooo good.

I guess I'm allowing myself to get raped by Farside because I've bought nothing else in months. Just dropped for an Ouya so I may as well dev my own shit before giving up on the gamings.

FX2. Just playing the tables I haven't beaten Loop 1 on. I've left some new scores to beat for whoever.

I play Pinball Arcade on 360 too, but have only run across the ball warping through the flipper once or twice. I also swear it happened on a real-life physical pinball machine last week, though.

Loving Bride of Pinbot. It's a really simple layout but that's working for me at the moment.

Anyone else think the castle gate in Medieval Madness is harder to hit in the game than on the actual table?

Yeah. The gate and the trolls are waaay more difficult than they ever should be. Trolls are the easiest thing in the world in real life. These just bounce the ball down the middle or outlanes every other hit. I will not even activate Trolls until they're lit before a multiball madness on this digital version.

Balls are still going through the flippers, and I'm still running into issues where the game will simply lose track of a ball, affectively ending the game. I've pretty much given up on score runs now until this is hopefully....eventually fixed. I just play to make it to the wizard modes.

Also: it doesn't look like Cirqus Voltaire is using the newest ROMS. There was an update released a few years ago that had some scoring changes, added some new modes, and the biggest addition: it allowed you to revive ended multiballs if you started a new one within a few seconds of the old one ending. That made it possible to have 4 different multiballs active simultaneously. Too bad.

Yeah, that's kinda blehsworthy, but the big news is that Pat Lawlor is designing [an] original table[s] for them. (creator of Addam's Family, Twilight Zone, Roadshow, Fun House, etc, etc)
