Black Hole is awful.
I like these tables and the physics... but something is missing for me in this collection. Just not that into it. I dunno.
Yeah, Black Hole is awful. I've maybe played it 6 or so times since release. Has one of the most barren playfields I've ever seen, which I guess was necessary to accommodate the lower area. I'll play it to get all the achievements, but definitely won't be doing any score runs.Quote:

I knew score runs would be more volatile on this over the PBFX tables, which makes competing on the leader board much more fun. No one can build a totally insurmountable score, and there's always the chance of luck being on your side (first time I made it to the wizard mode was by luck).
Can't wait for the rest of the tables to released. Twilight Zone, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Cirqus Voltaire, and my absolute favorite: The Simpsons Pinball Party.
Ugh, I agree about Black Hole. Worst table ever.
And the clock wizard goal on Theater of Magic is driving me nuts.
I picked up the Vita game, and I'm having a blast with it. I do agree that something seems missing, and I think it's the lack of table selection, which will be remedied as new tables are release. Not that I'm complaining about $10 for 4 tables, but it needs more Taxi.
There are 2 targets in front of the middle ramp. Hit those 4 times then shoot the ramp, a hatch (the trap door) should open up for a few seconds. Shoot it, and you'll be given a random award. One will advance the clock by 3, but even better, one will automatically start Midnight Madness, completing the goal. It'll probably be easier to start it that way instead of the normal way. For such a valuable award, it gives it out fairly often. I've even gotten it while already in Midnight Madness.Quote:

Thanks, I didn't know that! That's so much easier than the normal way. Damn thing takes forever.
Heh, I got Midnight Madness just by batting the ball around in a random game. It just really really wanted to go up that right lane.

Got sloppy at the end, though, and lost my last 3 balls quite rapidly. :(

I found Black Hole to be a lot of fun myself. The game is simple, but very challenging. I like the use of the lower playfield for the bonuses. I didn't find the playfield to be barren. There are plenty of targets to aim for. If you want to play something barren, play Jive Time in PHoF.
