It's great overall, just not 100% arcade perfect in gameplay when in arcade mode. Occasionally an enemy might fire at you from offscreen, which doesn't happen on Dreamcast/Naomi. In stage 4's boss battle, your reticle has a wonky aim on the boss cannons meaning you can't take them out so easily.
The 16:9 New Order mode is where it's really at here. NO has less screen panning and some extra enemies. Load times aren't bad.

Wait, this shit ended up being a retail release? Not PSN/XBLA? Fucking hell that's stupid.
-
So this is coming out in Europe this fall. Which means a cheaper import and English localization, at the very least.
-
That puts the "pro" in "procrastination."

Woo, retail edition! With Tokyo Jungle, One Piece, and Legasista all being PSN-only, I was beginning to think all quirky imports were going to be done that way. I may not need to own as many games physically as I used to, but there are still some that I'd like to have sitting on a shelf.

$39.99 retail? I can deal with that.
-
Yeah, it's a little steep, but worth it given the quality of the game.
-
Steep? I'm used to importing.

Preorder pages have popped up for the PS3 version on Amazon and Newegg. Some CAGs have reported code BTENANF35 will take $10 off at Newegg, but the code didn't work for me. Maybe it will work for you?
