I dunno if I'd say Strania's better than SnR/SnR Duo, but either way, I would definitely expect it to sell better.

In fairness, G.rev did kind of drop the ball on Strania by doing ZERO marketing. And by that I mean not even basic PR work, handing out reviewables, press releases, etc. They really could have done a lot more.
I wouldn't say zero reviewables. I got one...though I can't remember when(it was certainly after the game had released).
I feel bad for not trying Strania or Mamorono. It's nice to see Under Defeat get another chance but I hope G.Rev doesn't completely waste the next few years remastering classics instead of working on new content (hi Treasure!).
From what I've played, Strania's biggest offense is that the field of vision is far too close up.
I do not care about this Strania game you speak of.
G.rev kind of remakes every game they do these days anyway and turns them around in a few months. I think they outsource a lot of the new 3D models. They have it down to a science. Worst case scenario, they only really have one more game to remake.
My big hope for G.rev is that they hire RSG/Ikaruga/Gradius 5's director Hiroshi Iuchi on a more long-term basis (he worked on Strania, but not for the full cycle) and that they let him direct something Treasure-esque. Like what Cave did with Yagawa when they made Ibara.
No idea really. I guess they have some dude in the US or elsewhere who runs PR and can speak a lick of Japanese to communicate with them.
Also I usually expect big sources to *not* review 2D shooters. What'd they say anyway? "I beat this game in thirty minutes, it's too easy, looks a bit crap, 5/10" Exposure is nice and all but c'mon.
Until this thread, today, I have never heard of Mamorono. Their marketing must really suck pretty badly.
