Hell. Yes. I can't wait to play this. I've actually been looking forward to this more than pretty much any release in the next few months simply because of the first minute of the introduction that I watched (and promptly turned off because I didn't want anything else spoiled for me). I like it. A lot. A whole lot.
But it's not an amazing game. You pretty much just go around the town of South Park like it's an adventure game environment with simple JRPG fights. The production values, at least in making it look exactly like the show, are spectacular. If you're a fan of the show, get it. No question.

Yup. That matches my experience. It's a long ass episode, and a good one so far. Throw in some JRPG conventions, and adventure game fetch quests and you have it.

That sounds absolutely perfect to me and in line with what I'm expecting. How is the variety in gameplay as you go through the game? I know Obsidian games never really had too much as you progressed, but since this is a different style I was hoping it would have a bit more variety.

Variety? None, it's adventure game/jrpg the whole way.
