2) Deus Ex: Human Revolution

I didn't like this game at all when I started. I kept getting my ass kicked, I'm always impatient when I first start playing stealth games, so it was slow going. I got into a groove though. Got the upgrades to make sneaking much easier and effective and stuck with just a few weapons (pistol, sniper, combat rifle, heavy machine gun). I managed to make a lot of good choices so the final boss fight took me about 10 seconds. Good thing too, cause it looked like there was a shit load of stuff to do in that room other wise.

Getting so close to next gen, this game got me thinking about AI. It's so fucking stupid here (everywhere really), I pretty much exploited it non stop. Guards give up really easily, they barely check around...it would be a totally different game and experience with Ai that acted more like a real person. I understand that it's a balance issue for the sake of what would be "fun" for a game, but it's definitely something that needs to be stepped up now.

5.) Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD

Soooooo much easier to play in its Subsistence incarnation. The cutscenes still get pretty lengthy, but the plot is much more focused and the characters more memorable than the previous game. That whole sequence with The Boss at the end of the game was just as tragic and beautiful as I remember. The game looks gorgeous in HD!

I'll probably go back and play the MSX versions of Metal Gear 1 and 2 that come with it, but for now I'm moving on to Peace Walker.

#8 - Ys II: Ancient Ys Vanished Final Chapter (PSP)

Can't even say how much I enjoyed these games. Perfect updates for some classic RPGs. Highly recommended.

#4 - Need For Speed: The Run - decent racer with some really weird QTE's that just don't seem to belong. Some great environments running from CA to NY. Is it worth $40? Probably not. Definitely worth a weekend rental as that's about how long it'll take you to finish it.

#2 - The Secret of Monkey Island

A little tough and a little on the short side but I enjoyed it and will be downloading part 2

#3 - The Simpsons Arcade Game

This game holds a special place in my memory bank. When I lived in Italy as a kid, I had access to only two arcade games: Joe & Mac and The Simpsons. I would play the hell out of this game but never get very far so it was nice to be able to play through this and play the levels I never got to and finally beat the game.

#2: Arkham City Lockdown: Really short Infinity blade clone with Batman. I like it a lot but it needs more area/bosses.

#3: Skyrim: 90 hours to complete the main quests, Thieves guild, Magic guild and Companion quest. Going to do Dark Brotherhood and Imperial next.

#3 a Voxel Action - This platformer is available via the Xbox Live Indie Service and it's really damn swell. One of the better dollars I've spent when it comes to gaming.

I disagree and I think you would get tired of this rather quickly. For one, not to insult your intelligence, but you probably wouldn't succeed against an army of trained military personnel. Also, I have flashbacks to Metro 2033 where I would do one thing that shouldn't have triggered any alarm in a "videogame" sense but would in real life...and the alarm blared for the entire level. I find the ability to "reset" the situation by escaping is far less frustrating (especially as someone who despises autosaving).

I totally agree with you. That's why I mentioned the "balance" of improving the AI while keeping it a videogame. Hyper realism isn't what I'm after. For example, the airvents. Make a guard on patrol seem like it's paying attention sometimes. It's in your best interest to close them when you go in so a guard on patrol won't notice a vent that is suddenly open. Have him actually poke his head in the vent instead of just crouching down, seemed goofy every time I just moved over a few pixels so I really don't have to hide to get away with it.

6.) Catherine (360)

Finally got around to finishing the last playthrough on this I'm going to do for a while. Managed the full K, C, and neutral endings. I really appreciate the ability to skip stages you scored gold on, although unlike some, I enjoyed the puzzle stages. Well, all of them except escorting Katherine, which would occasionally make me feel like throwing my controller through my TV. Girlfriend got this for me for Christmas and I was surprised at how much we enjoyed playing it together.

Persona 5, plz! Actually, a proper numbered sequel in the main series would be even better.
