Oh stop it.
Back in the day, everyone hated Mario 2, Zelda 2, and Castlevania 2 because they dared to be different.
People have changed their tune on Mario and Zelda. Castlevania will get its due soon too.
It just needs the right nerd to start the campaign.
Sadly, I am not that nerd.
I liked Mario 2 :(
I liked Mario 2, and Zelda 2 also. DAT TEMPLE MUSIC.
well lah tee dah.
You two were ahead of the curve.
But seriously. Most kids on the playground and jerks who wrote into EGM and other mags didn't care for them.
I wasn't allowed to play Zelda but I was a big fan of Mario 2.
If CV2 was going to get a second look I think it would've gotten it by now. Maybe it's just a shitty game.
Yea magic. They didn't care when Zelda III came around.
Send it back.Mario 2 was good but the others were painful. I wasn't a fan of that Zelda 2 style in general and didn't care for Battle for Olympus either. I think there was another crappy game that was very similar, but I could just be having shitty recall about NES games that I didn't like.Quote:

Yeah, Zelda II beats the living shit out of the original, and I'd take Castlevania II over any of the Iga ones.
See? Yoshi may just be that nerd.
I am the alpha and omega nerd.
I rented Faxanadu when it first came out and couldn't do SHIT. I find that along with games I liked, I now want to see if there are games that were just over my head as a 7 year old or if they were just dumb.
Faxanadu is an awesome game and most definitely was over the head of a 7 year old.
That might be it because it sounds familiar, but damned if I can recall any actual details about the game.
I've tried going back to Zelda II and Battle of Olympus (I had the name slightly wrong) in recent years and still couldn't get into them. Maybe I'll give Faxanadu a similar shot soon.
46. Akumajo Dracula X: Gekka no Yasokyoku
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...asokyoku-1.png
Beat it. A few years ago, some loyal CV fans took it upon themselves to translate the Japanese edition of SOTN, Akumajo Dracula X: Gekka no Yasokyoku, or Castlevania: Nocturne in the Moonlight. What came out of it was a pretty elegant translation (and not a re-interpretation like the "What is a man" stuff that's become iconic). It's almost a little poetic even. In the opening, instead of "[...]a miserable little pile of secrets, have at you!" is replaced with an exchange of ideals of what humanity is and what it deserves, to "Preposterous. Which one of our claims is true? I shall give you the answer, along with death's embrace!". It's pretty sweet.
It's also nice to hear Norio Wakamoto who plays Dracula have some lines which feel like they closer tie to his voice.
Of course, the translations go beyond mere dialog. Items were given their original names back (Rahab's Ice Sword isn't just 'Icebrand' anymore), which is pretty cool if you've played standard SOTN, you get to see the little differences. It gave me an incentive to go back and play the game (even though I go through it again once every year at least). Anyways, I was curious and decided to go back and play it. Really fun! Most people will probably dig the original voices out of "It was so bad" nostalgia, but the original voices set the characters better, I think. Still a sweet game.
47. Binary Domain
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...naryDomain.png
Beaten on Normal. I thought this was very good. Tons of great ideas here. Many borrowed from other games and condensed into one experience, but they're worth being applauded for. Really good cover (vault, peek, directional aim peek) with very smooth animations between each cover action. Good feel on the guns and recoil (the meta of getting used to your guns or upgrading them was a nice form of letting the player see how much better he's grown while still offering them tools to improve). It had a slow start, which isn't fair for the rest of the game, but once you reach upper Tokyo, things shine for the better. The Light Conversation System is neat. Tied enough to gameplay to make you care (and endings) but nothing too strenuous that can slow the pacing down. Would have been nice if the MC would say your choices instead of just being silent with an option glowing on-screen. Didn't mind the ending either. It was cheesy and very obvious, so I didn't see what the big deal was.
48. Max Payne 3
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...8MaxPayne3.png
Great. High budget, cinematic, inner monologue heavy game with uh, bullet time. That's the show of Max Payne 3 and it works well. Little added buffs like a Revenge system to auto-heal yourself if close to death by shooting someone who targeted you. It feels 2-3 hours a bit too long and it is challenging on harder difficulties, but I guess that's the type of game this is. Gametrailers and some other reviews seem to have a bone to pick with the constant pessimist monologues Max makes. If anything, they're awesome and gives a great identity to the game, offering something to string along all the run and gun sequences. Real good.
49. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PSP)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...evaniaSOTN.png
Played this after the JP re-trans to see the differences, since the voices were redone. Bought Dracula X the day it came out, but never got around to really re-playing SOTN. Didn't know there was a JP language voice option or I would have maybe peeked the translation's stuff on Youtube and then just play the PSP game, preferably, since it would be on a nicer screen and on the go (Vita). The new voices are great, I like them way more than the PSX ones we all grew up with. Yuri Lowenthal for Alucard is pretty badass and Crispin Freeman as Drac is sweet too. 197% and some Crissaegrims. Calling it beat.
I finally beat Ys Chronicles PSP last night. On to Felghana!
12.5) Proteus. Very similar to Dear Esther, in that you walk around an island, but unlike Esther it's short enough to not get annoying and there's things to discover, rather than be narrated at. It's getting a .5 because it's super-short and a beta, so "completion" only applies to this very early version. Still, I loved walking around and looking at stuff, figuring out which things made what noise, and what I could interact with and how. Very chilled, but short enough to remain interesting.

50. Castlevania: Rondo of Blood
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ndoofBlood.png
Beat the Original Chi no Rondo off a digital copy of DXC on the Vita. Still pretty solid now. Nice music, presentation, the old animu is pretty terribad as is the subtitles (which are really inaccurate). Gameplay is OG CV, being locked in your jump arc and timing whip attacks. The Boss Rush against Shaft is the only thing that kept me on my toes, everything else was off of feel and memory of playing it years ago (but I don't think I ever beat the original, just the 3D remake). Didn't use Hydro Storm either. Music is still fantastic as are all the branching paths, giving it tons of replayability. You could tell this was the apex of Konami wanting to find ways to avoid copies of their CV games from going right in the bargain bin.
#31 - Analogue: a Hate Story (PC)
Maybe not the best story but it is told in an interesting way. I'd say it's worth going through! For those who have never heard of it, you're basically going through the correspondence logs of a derelict Korean spacecraft that was meant to carry colonists to a new planet, only something went wrong and they ended up living on the ship, Wall-E style. You get to communicate with the AIs by showing them specific log entries which then lead to more entries, more story bits, and so on. Liked it!
Hydro Storm is for noobs. Real gangsta ass niggas use the axe.
Asura's Wrath x2, but I'm not counting it until I finish everything. Took 2 nights for the initial beating.
True, but the point of using the axe is for the item crash, which uses few hearts and gives a few brief moments in invincibility when you otherwise can't escape a hit.
12 - Donkey Kong Country 3 - Definitely the weakest of the 3, and Kiddy Kong sucks compared to either Diddy or DK, but I do love the Swanky mini-games, and the soundtrack is really good.
13) Puzzle Agent 2. The ending of the story made no sense, with the agents just standing there letting Nelson do his thing, and the bonus puzzles for beating the game kind of suck, but I still hope they do a 3rd. It's a fun world and I wouldn't mind seeing more of it.

#32 - Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (Wii)
Easily the best Silent Hill game since the original trilogy and one of the best looking Wii games I have ever seen. Great use of pointer controls and creative use of the Wiimote speaker. The psychiatrist angle is pretty neat, altering the shape of your game in subtle ways (I just about shit myself at the payoff for the color in your house part because I was totally into it and did color the whole page, lol). There was ONE running away segment that played out like the Lost Woods except I couldn't find any discernible clue as to which door was the correct one to proceed, but that would be the biggest complaint against the game for me. I am very surprised at how much I loved this.
They definitely got the atmosphere right in that one. It was the first time I felt like a western developer finally "got" Silent Hill. I hated the escape bits, but it wasn't enough to ruin the experience for me.
and I beat Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier.
The stealth missions were complicated, when they shouldn't have been. They take away some of your gadgets, just to make the mission "tougher". The one mission where its "Lone Wolf" was fun, but at the Checkpoint the programmers decided ... okay NOW you can go "loud". But when you try and do it stealth-ly you'll fail everytime. Which brings me to the ... If you fail you have to start in certain cases back to the beginning. Kotaku's review is right the checkpoints are so far apart its ridiculous.
Then the story bugs the fuck out of me. After you beat the game and you see the final cutscene the damn ending is cliffhanger ... YET it ends.abruptly and uncharacteristically.
Tom Clancy should be ashamed.
Soul Blazer (Super NES)
Feeling kind of nostalgic and going through some 16-bit games. I finally got my hands on a copy of Terranigma, so I figured I would go through the entire trilogy. I haven't played Soul Blazer since I was 12. It still holds up well. I love the little details in the graphics. The different themes in each area are nicely done. Only being able to move in four directions instead of eight didn't bother me back then, but it's a slight annoyance now (I just started Illusion of Gaia and that allows eight directional movement, so that's good). It's great that the game allows you to go back and collect everything so you can be fully powered. The final boss didn't stand a chance.
22. Dragon's Dogma
http://users.zoominternet.net/~tain/...gons_dogma.png
Pretty cool game. The combat, while still mostly pretty easy, is 100x better than stuff like Elder Scrolls and Two Worlds and whatnot, and that's only going by the classes I was using. This is pretty important, since the game makes you manually travel its world most of the time. The pacing is a little messed up (drags in the middle for sure), and the end of the game kind of creeps up on you, but it's a pretty great ending and there is some serious post-credits content.
it's probably the best of these modern console open-world action RPG things.
My interest is all of a sudden piqued, since games like Elder Scrolls just bore the crap out of me.
That's the case for everyone. Some people are just in denial about it.
I trust Tain more than I think literally anyone else his age with regard to games. Thief is now getting hauled off the Compasstration Camp.
6. Monster World IV
This game is not a lost 16-bit masterpiece. The dungeons are by-the-numbers and long, long, long. Enemy and boss behavior are sub-Rare caliber. All weapons, armor, and shields look and behave uniformly. I suppose the pet is kind of neat, but it's never implemented in an unexpected way.
It's not a bad game, just an unremarkable one.
I do not agree with you. It's a fantastic and charming game, although not as good as Wonder Boy in Monster World.
Super C has now been 1 cc'd. Eat a dick, younger me who said it was impossible.
23. Max Payne 3
http://users.zoominternet.net/~tain/...ax_payne_3.png
I liked the presentation, and if it weren't for all the cover shooter junk, the changes to the stunty moves and how bullet time is handled would be largely for the better. Like so many third person shooters, the game often does a poor job of forcing you out of cover. The animation tech is impressive, as always, and seeing it in a more focused and faster-paced game was nice. Not bad, but not as good as the originals.
#6 Resident Evil 5 (360)
Played through the entire game in co-op mode which was pretty fun. Didn't care for the story that much but I have high hope for Resident Evil 6
#33 - Radiant Historia (DS)
Gets a little slow at times and kind of needs a map but I'm glad I stuck with it. Really fun game, ended up going back after I beat (40 hours or so) to finish up everything I hadn't done, which sometimes required a little too much backtracking. Pretty much added another 5 hours to the clock. The true ending was nice.
Simon's Quest haters gonna hate!

Attachment 66093
What a neat little shooter! Great soundtrack and graphics, along with the vertical levels, make up for the "Space Cow" Gradius gameplay. My only complaint is that it's too short.
That's a Top 5 NES game.
As a kid I rented that game at least 5 times just for the awesome cover art. I was convinced that a game with art that cool had to be the best thing ever.
I beat an Outrun 2 SP arcade machine today. Sure, I've played the Xbox version, but not the Arcade one, so I'm counting it!
er
that's like saying "I inhaled oxygen today"
Life Force is so good. That was in heavy rotation when we were kids.
Harley's Revenge (Batman: AC DLC)
It's more Rocksteady Batman, so that rules. Problem is that it's super linear and very short. What's there is a lot of fun though. It assumes you've finished City so it plops you into full on fights and ruins the end of City if you haven't played it. I'd suggest waiting for it to go on sale for $5, 10 is just too much for what you get.
Max Payne 3
Big fan of this series, but 2 remains my favorite. Not much is changed gameplay wise, you just go from kill room to kill room with cutscenes put in between. You still have the same bullet time and dodging, with added cover mechanics. The concerns of it being too far removed from the film noir motif are largely non existent. This is still Max Payne, he's just as miserable and he has to kill an army to get out of the ditch he dug for himself. It looks and sounds awesome, the different environments through the story keep things interesting. It's a tough game too, I got stuck in sections a few times, you can't just attack like a bull. Keep moving, know what weapons to use and always aim for the head.
One of the biggest problems I had was with the auto-pill pop mechanic when you are on your last legs. It enters bullet time automatically and lets you shoot the guy who is about to take you out. If successful, you live by taking a pain killer (if you don't have any you die of course, no bullet time escape for you). Problem is, you could be contorted or just behind something that won't let you get a clear shot of your attacker so you just end up shooting a desk or a poll and die like a fish out of water. Plus, when you come out of it you are always on the ground and that often sets you up to get overwhelmed. The close quarter combat also continues the Rockstar tradition of being awkward as shit.
There hasn't been much coming out on home consoles to interest me as of late, so I've been getting back in touch with my inner F-chan and catching up on my portable pile of shame.
17.) Touch My Katamari (Vita)
It's Katamari with no frills. I do appreciate that the first six DLC levels are all free. Seeing the King rendered in full 3D is about as creepy as it sounds. Definitely a tired formula at this point, although I liked that the game seemed to acknowledge this in the storyline. It'll be hard to play the older games without being able to squish and stretch the katamari to get through tight spots. Neither bad nor great.
18.) Riviera: The Promised Land (PSP)
I wish I hadn't waited so long to play this. Aside from the incredibly slow-going battles, this was a surprisingly charming game. Yggdra Union and Knights in the Nightmare are pretty cheap on PSN, so I think I'll check those out too.
19.) Ys I & II Chronicles (PSP)
I played the Eternal versions of these games to death on PC, so I had no real interest in playing them again. I was so pleased with XSeed localizing them that I bought a physical copy and later the digital variant for my Vita, though. Finally got around to playing through it over the weekend. I could beat these games in my sleep now, but I always end up getting into them regardless. Some surprisingly mellow arrangements of classic songs in Ys II.
20.) Ys Seven (PSP)
Got to the last dungeon in this one many months ago and then just stopped for some reason. Finally finished it off. To be honest, I actually think it's a little too lengthy for an Ys game. Still, the gameplay is super-quick and swapping characters on the fly to deal with certain kinds of enemies is quite fun. Thankfully, it would appear the upcoming remake of IV is retaining this system.
24. Wonder Boy in Monster World
http://users.zoominternet.net/~tain/...ster_world.png
A cool game by the end, but it takes a while to get beyond the bland hallways with simple yet high-HP enemies. Definitely not as good as any of its predecessors. The bosses are pretty lame, even by series standards, and seem to involve a lot of bouncing around and winning via DPS. Loved that moving platform room near the end.
5. 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand (360) - actually a decent game that can be finished in a few hours (6 or so in my case). Sure it's a 3rd person cover based shooter that doesn't break any new ground but some unintentional comedy and the absurdity of the whole game/story made it worth the quick play through.
Max Payne 3
Eh, it's really just not as good as the first two. Way too much of an emphasis on cover shooting. The presentation is what you'd expect from Rockstar but they don't even attempt to bring the original surreal-noir tone to the game. More of what I'd expect from a GTA if it was more linear and combat driven. It ran beautifully on my new PC, looked very nice and definitely not a game I want to play with a controller (headshots all day every day with my mouse).
It's not a bad game, and I really hope Rockstar learned something from the combat and hopefully uses it in GTA5 because they built a solid foundation here. But ultimately it doesn't do the series justice.

Attachment 66154
After around 90 hours and about 72% of the trophies, I'm giving this one a rest. I beat the main game and am in game+, and while I really LOVED this title, it's a great example of why Japanese developers are so far behind in design. The typical cryptic quest bullshit that's standard in JRPGs is here (don't take the quest being offered to you RIGHT NOW because that could lock out a quest offered by someone you haven't met yet much further down the line!). This wouldn't piss me off if it didn't have a trophy hinging on doing all the side quests handed out by NPCs. It's impossible to do them all perfectly unless you have a guide or FAQ with you step by step.
Some of the boss trophies are like this too. I missed the dragon one because I had to kill them after I killed the main boss but before I actually finished the game itself. Who the fuck would have known that there's a dragon waiting in a tower when you went there at least 3 times during the main game and he wasn't there? Oh, that's because he only shows up AFTER you kill the final boss and BEFORE you end the game. Finish the main story and you have to play through the entire game again on game+ to get him.
Many of the side quests are also incredibly vague. For instance, there's one where you have to find evidence to acquit or convict a businessman, and the only people flagged for speaking to are not the ones you need to find. There's another quest where you have to find a lost guy, and the people with whom you need to speak are scattered around the city and don't show up on maps. SOME OF THEM ARE INDOORS! It's always fun to scour every room of every building in the city to find that one dipshit who can move the quest forward.
Aside from that, my only other gripes are how small the world is overall and how much back-tracking there is. There's no fast travel (unlike just about every WRPG today), and the closest you can get are crystals that cost $200,000 each and have to be placed at the locations manually. Then, you need a $30,000 ferrystone to go there and another one to get back. Even worse, these crystals are only available for sale near the very end of the game!
I may sound harsh, but none of this is enough to make the game unenjoyable. I loved exploring, and combat was enthralling, especially the larger creatures like metal gollums an the Beholder. The vocation system is great, and there's a ton of customization. This has major potential to be a great franchise, but the suckiness of Japanese game developers is very apparent here. Bethesda has nothing to fear from them at all.
22. Asura's Wrath (360) 1000/1000
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/tnl/ent...-Asura-s-Wrath
23. Espgaluda 2 (iOS)
It says 24 of 28 achievements, but I only see 2 that I'm missing, and that's Continue 50 times (I'm ok not getting that one) and find the hidden whatever in stage 3. Screw you hidden whatever, I didn't need you!
162,302,271 Ageha no continues
143,059,325 Tateha no continues
125,818,012 Asagi no continues
I really like this one a lot, although I'm still not 100% sure how to best use the meters and bullet cancelling and whatnot, but I play this on an iPod so it's hard enough with the tiny screen trying to move and press the right "button" when I want to.
24. Limbo (xbla) 190/200
Had a hankering to play through this one again and I wanted to try doing it in 1 sitting with 5 deaths or less, but then I got into it and realized it had been so long since I played that it would take me probably 3 or 4 more times through to do that so I said screw that last achievement. Love the game though, playing it in the dark with stereo headphones is the way I wish I had seen it the first time.
25. DoDonPachi Blissful Death (iOS)
My only decent score in this one is 66,689,390 with Type B EXY. I've tried to unlock that second loop or whatever by getting all the bees, but it's not going to happen. I don't know where they are or the secret paths n whatnot. Still a very good shooter, this one especially I would love to find on console.
No, you do NOT want to do the second loop, or fight the true final boss. Mostly the true final boss. I hate that motherfucker on the 360 version.
21.) Corpse Party (PSP)
This was a surprisingly excellent ghost story bogged down by a bunch of pointless, embarrassing fan service and borderline pedo tendencies. Who cares that everyone is in mortal danger; let's endure the three hour long odyssey of Will Yuka Get to Take a Piss? instead. Actually nearly quit playing when she wet herself and then went without underwear for the rest of the game. Every single female character (with the exception of the teacher) was utterly unlikable, prone to high-pitched crying, whining, and screaming IIIIIYYYYAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! at regular intervals. Still, it's testament to the quality of the story that the game managed to be creepy as hell despite the low-tech visuals. However, at $20 it seems like a bit of a rip off.
That just described almost everything from Japan these days. Little girl pissing is the new horrible standard.
I'm not sure what you expect of high school girls in a haunted school where people get murdered.
Have you played it? He's right. The weird stuff is enough to make you a little uncomfortable, and it seems to be pretty pervasive to the culture these days. Moreso than when we thought anime was cool.
Also you'll more likely than not have to replay entire sections of the game and there is no way to skip previously viewed text. That's a pretty huge omission imo. But it's still good!
Uncomfortable IN MY PANTS, RIGHT?
I just want a little girl to pee down my shirt.
Don't be crass. We say "wee wee" or "tinkle".
I'm thinking about getting it, I was reading the first few chapters of one of the Mangos and it seemed wonderfully creepy.
But yeah I was just being a butt, I wouldn't be surprised if they take it from "Pants wetting terror" to "Hope you have a hardon at my pants wetting terror"
Bionic Commando (360) - Very flawed but entertaining game, though I'd imagine a good chunk of that is nostalgia seeping through. Love that menu music.
That...that cant be real.
That's not even the worst of it. I couldn't find videos of the little girl talking about it being "weird" that she could feel the air on her vagina after ditching her piss-soaked underwear, or Incest Bath Time starring Seiko and her little brother. Keep in mind that even the older characters are still in high school.
Oh Japan.
Those characters are clearly portrayed by actors 18 or older. It's fine.
That's true; I probably should have clarified.
It's fine. Everything's fine.
So would you say this game is more for people who appreciate soiled underwear, or people who appreciate buttered anus?
The "Yaaay!" was what really sold me on the characters being true to life.
If the words "buttered anus" arent enough to get aurora back, nothing is.
That was amazing.
Number 3 (Damn, that's it?!): Megaman 3. Had a lot of fun, forgot a lot about this game because my goto is MM2. I still think MM2 is my favorite though.
"Thanks! I'm gunna go butter up my pooper with it real good!"
Ok, now I have to play this game.
4. Kid Icarus: Uprising - 3DS
GOTY? Not perfect, but incredibly entertaining from start to finish. Easily the system's best game and I don't see anything announced thus far dethroning it.
5. Mighty Switch Force - eShop
Not into it.
6. flower - PS3
One sitting I think. Pretty good.
7. Super Mario 3D Land - 3DS
Can't say I enjoyed this. Holding a button down to run for the entire game was okay on the SNES but doesn't cut it in modern times, especially with the 3DS's tiny, close-together buttons. If only there was a better way... Oh wait! The 3DS has one of those newfangled analog nub/slider thingies. How come Nints is terrified of it? Don't know.
I don't care what anyone says, the run-up to gain momentum is off in this game. I got used to it, but it never felt "right."
I got all the shines or stars or whatever. I thought there was supposed to be some ultra-hard final level, but I guess I'd have to play through all the stages again as Luigi? Yeah, no thanks. Shelving this gay thing.
you are 100% rightQuote:

7. Final Fight (PSN)
Since GohanX is probably enjoying my 360 version of this, I am glad the game went on sale for $5 on PSN. I continue to be impressed by how well this holds up, and the experience is further heightened by the excellent port. I wish the second game in the pack was anything other than Magic Sword though. Captain Commando or one of the licensed games would have been a much better choice.
8/10
8. Twinkle Star Sprites: La Petite Princesse (PS2)
This was somewhat of my white whale. Finding the first print at an acceptable price when I also had a means to play JPS2 games just never worked out. It was definitely worth the wait though. The original Neo Geo game is one of my all-time favorites, and this one takes that experience and really adds to it. First of all, the original game is unlockable, though it doesn't have all the cool extras the Saturn version does. However, the new game has both a story mode as well as character modes, so there's lots of replay value even without taking 1CCs and the like into account. Plus, there is a VS. mode that would have made this the best game on XBLA and PSN if SNKP had the sense to release it there. If this were hand drawn 2D instead of polygons, it would be a 10. As it is, it's a strong...
9/10
2012 Totals:
1 3DS, 1 iOS, 1 PC, 1 PS2, 4 PS3

I've always had my eye on the PS2 Twinkle Star Sprites, too. I had no idea the original was on it.
11) Ys Origin
Completed Yunica's story- Level 50, 12:09:04:833 on Steam story mode leaderboard (595th).
The 2D sprite characters go well with the 3D backgrounds and bosses. I wish Falcom would have stayed with this 2.5D style for Seven, Nayuta no Kiseki, and the upcoming Ys Vita game. While Origin is a bit more linear compared to Felghana, it's still as good IMO.
Length is just fine. It's not too short, but Origin doesn't overstay its welcome either. As always, JDK brings an excellent soundtrack. Even the title screen's music is awesome enough to justify loitering there for a few minutes. My favorite stage BGMs are the tracks for Demonic Core and Guilty Fire.
One thought about Ys III and Oath: Part of Jim Power's first stage BGM might sound familiar, only with different instruments. Chris Huelsbeck had played Ys III and ended up with the lava pit theme "A Searing Struggle" stuck in his head.
Tron: Evolution - It was okay. Like a shittier Prince of Persia, but was worth the playthrough to me for the visual style and didn't overstay its welcome.
#34 - Gravity Rush (Vita)
Charming, beautiful game. A lot of the reviews it's getting are kind of weird, I don't know what these people expected it to be. 100% trophies on this one since it was really easy to finish up.
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands - I think this had the best platforming in the series, as the integration of abilities is incredibly smooth and well done. The combat was pretty bad, they had a lot of decent ideas but the execution there was sloppy all around. Still, I enjoyed this a lot.
14) Botanicula. That's two adventure-type games in a row. I love Amanita designs, though, so there's no way I'd let this go by.

I liked this. It's pretty easy overall and doesn't really explore its mechanics to the fullest, but falling around the gorgeous world never gets old. Excellent soundtrack, too, and Kat is a great main character. I still have a few things to do, and I might even go for the DLC as it comes.
35 - Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack (Vita) 100% Trophies
Great art, music, and gameplay. What an awesome surprise. Had a ton of fun getting through this, it's like a LocoRoco/Katamari style 2D platformer.
36 - Super Stardust Delta (Vita) 100% Trophies
Gorgeous twin stick shooter, kind of a cross between Geometry Wars and Asteroids with a dual color weapon system.
Two surprisingly great PSN Vita games! Hunkered down and played the shit out of them since they seemed very doable (and they were).
It didn't last long, but Tales from Space is the most fun I've had on my Vita. More like this, please.
Illusion of Gaia (Super NES)
I liked this one a lot more back in 1994. Now, not so much. It's extremely linear, the gameplay is mediocre, and the story is borderline nonsense. It's definitely not as good as Soul Blazer. Graphics were nice, though. Now to see what Terranigma is all about.
Isnt it odd how these days have so much in common with the 90s?
