If you really want that, I can do it. But I don't want anyone to think I'm just being a negative douche (which would be understandable, because I certainly can be like that at times) and just shitting on everyone; because in this instance, it's really not like that.
If I were trying out a new podcast and the guys on the show first of all couldn't be bothered to look at the show prep and on top of that spout inaccuracies quite often, well, I wouldn't bother listening to that podcast. There's too many other things I can fill that time with.
I looked back over your comments in this thread, and I think "spout inaccuracies quite often" is in itself inaccurate. We (I) did confuse Magnavox with Sanyo when making an aside about the 3DO, but that was about the worst of it before we agreed it was Sega Rally and not Sega GT in that dual pack.
That said, I should have double-checked that Sega fact in post-production. This upcoming Treasure trilogy should be pretty tight with research before the recordings, and we can do more fact-checking during the shows when tangents come up.
I didn't call out everything I heard...but I get the message. I will drop it.
This opinion may be worth what Nick paid for it, but this is the reason I never started listening. The show went for "entertainment" over information from the very first discussion, which just doesn't interest me in the least. Many of the posts in this thread have just confirmed what I had originally assumed.
edit: For the record, entertainment and information don't have to be mutually exclusive, but you have to cast people with knowledge and a sense of humor, probably in that order.
Thus expansion should take place, branding characters only makes it a click that appeals to a few members like SSJN whose nose is so far up Nick's tush it's been brown for days.
Yeah, I describe it as sounding "the way you talk about games with your friends," if you have friends that are familiar with five tons of games. With the Treasure series, we will be getting descriptive about the basics of the games (I think our BioWare show should have focused more on making newcomers want to experience these titles). We must resist this tendency to inbreed.
Incest only leads to retardation. Good idea for expansion.
Monolith is not a UK company. They're here in Kirkland, WA.
Sorry, I was fooled by the teeth on their "About" page.
