I beat mom for the first time the other day.
Thought I was gonna die, popped the sun card that I had been hoarding for a level or two when I was about to die, thinking it just refilled my health but it also blew up everything on screen and she died instantly.
It was so awesome.
I doubt that this would be approved by Sony, Microsoft or Apple. Horrible violence is OK but the anti-Christianity thing is radioactive.
Twin sticks would be nice I guess. Not that it would make much of a difference when you can only fire in four directions.
As I mentioned earlier, the game isn't even rated by the ESRB. I doubt Tommy would want to do any drastic concessions just to get an M rating. Although the manufactured controversy (OMG, the war on Christianity has extended to video games!) would definitely make the game sell well. I'm curious if it would be enough money for Sony to go ahead and publish the title despite the "backlash" the game would receive (Microsoft would probably pass after Team Meat trashed them in their Super Meat Boy post-mortem).Quote:

I set up joy2key and have tried playing it a couple times. It's okay, I guess. It would be a lot better with analog aiming. It was worth the zero dollars I paid for it, but I probably wouldn't spend much more than that even if they implemented real controls and a real engine.
Is there a way to select items you've unlocked when starting another run? I missed it if there was.

It isn't for everyone, but the fact is that you have easily more than 50 hours worth of content, and the game actually just keeps getting harder and expanding the more you beat it. It's kind of addicting to find out what the next item is or fulfilling certain objectives to unlock them and/or new characters.
Okay.
Just saying it doesn't really necessitate a remake, just that it's not for you.
