I love MI2's ending. You guys are silly.
But yeah, I think I might like part 3 the best, in spite of the awful ending and the not-as-incredible-as-part-2's soundtrack.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I think Brutal Legend sold like 215,000 copies in the first month and a 1.5 million copies total.
If they can match that first months sales with the basic 15$ donations, they will have collected 3,225,000. However, the average donation is about 38$s, so it might be closer to 7,927,634
If they can at least match the number of Psychonauts first month sales of 100,000 units, they will get around 3,800,000.
Don't be surprised if they pull in at least 3 mill in donations.
Donations have already slowed down a lot. I expect to see this cap out somewhere between 2 and 3 million. But that's still an awful lot.
I think the fan input might be in the form of few-and-far-between A/B polls. I hope people are level-headed about this though. But you have the odd crazed shareholder...
They're not shareholders, though. I have a feeling that realization may end up pissing some people off. This game will not end up being what every individual person wanted, it'll be what Tim Shafer wanted.
This. A million times this.
Big or small, a creator likes when people put their money where their mouths are. It's one thing to say you'd like a new adventure game, or send a petition around. To be willing to throw down some cash upfront because you believe in the concept...? I mean, it's the original spirit of investment. Most days, those who invest today are looking at the money side and logistics far more than what is being done and so are always looking for the safe bet. If nothing else, this stuff shows that people can be passionate enough about a concept or product that its intrinsically worth the investment.
