I liked Omikron back in the day and enjoyed Fahrenheit / Indigo Prophecy despite its obvious issues plot-wise. I haven't played Heavy Rain yet but I've read good things. Now Quantic Dream comes out with this and, Jesus, if I'm not completely stoked to see what they've got in store for us next! Seriously, wow.
Alas, probably doesn't have a whole lot to do with any game they're working on. And a PS3 tech demo can't really impress anymore in terms of, well... tech.
So... Pretty cool animated short.
I haven't seen light bloom and lens flare that awesome since the Star Trek reboot.
Omikron pissed me off. It started out awesome and then halfway through the game, the entire development team was lobotomized and the whole thing went downhill faster than Enron. Yes, I am aware that's not how development works.
Indigo Prophecy pissed me off. It started out awesome and then halfway through the game, the entire development team was lobotomized and the whole thing went downhill faster than Enron.

Exact same thing with Fahrenheit. Although that maybe got 2/3 of the way through before the script turned into something Beavis and Butthead wrote.Quote:

I wish this is what they were working on, seems like they really put some polish on it. I can't wait to see what it is they actually ARE working on.

LOL, that shit cracked me up. And, meh, Omikron was a bad game but I still dug it. Indigo Prophecy was better but, yeah, it definitely fell off a precipice a couple of times plot-wise toward the end. If Heavy Rain follows suit and doesn't improve where the previous two games fell short then I'll still be happy, because atmosphere is big with me and QD's games seem to have it in spades. :nod: :tu:Quote:

Pineapple, my sentiments exactly. This video seems like the prologue to a potentially fantastic story and I'd love to see what happened next. Ah well.
On a related note, this is another spiffy short film with a similar theme (self-aware robot, thinks it's alive).
Shut up about the second half of Indigo Prophecy. The game has never once been mentioned -- anywhere, ever -- without that accompanying bitching.
This short was rad.
