Marvel: Avengers Alliance

I hate to even bring this up seeing as it's "just a Facebook game" but man if I haven't sunk in ridiculous amounts of time into it. Instead of being about farming or building a city or whatever it's a turn-based RPG of sorts. You have a squad of 3 Marvel characters and there is a surprising amount of depth to the combat since there are different classes and you gain abilities as you level up. Now I'm not starting this thread as a "add me, I need friends" I just wanted to see if anyone else was playing this.

I'm playing it, I have Korly and Advocate as allies so far.

What level are you guys and who do you have unlocked so far?

I'm six I think. Iron Man, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Iron Fist.

I'm level 35: Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Black Cat, Colossus, Cyclops, Daredevil, Invisible Woman, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and The Thing. I'm a bit addicted haha... since using Raptr it keeps telling me that I'm one of the highest ranked players on their servers. Still have about 100 hours before I'm #1 though.

Well, you better facebook friend me. I'm level 14 or 15 and I only have like 6 or 7 teammates. I like that game a lot.

7 teammates and level 8.

Team? Iron Man, Hawkeye, Ms Marvel, and Black Widow.

I have class tonight but I will be playing again later tonight afterwards... I can't stop playing, it's prevented me from doing stuff I should be doing. It's dangerous hehe

EDIT: Just 5 starred the last thing in Chapter 2... so 5 stars in all for chapters 1 and 2 (except the premium stuff).

I would like this much more if I could just play as long as I wanted without having to buy gold. But it's strangely addictive nonetheless.

I have always been able to play as long as I want. I have never spent a cent on this game. When my energy runs out I start doing PVP... when that runs out I have built up enough energy to do 1 more mission, repeat. When both of those are out, that's when I start to use the energy that people have sent me. Then my guy has leveled up and all my energy is back and I'm playing some more.

Vapor (Ch. 3 Miniboss) is absolutely ruining my shit. Any tips? Been using my agent, along with Luke Cage (Default) and She-Hulk, sometimes Iron Fist.

I 5 star missions before moving onto the next for the most part, so my guys are usually way over the recommended level so I have yet to have trouble beating anyone.

Yeah, this sounds like the best idea.

Also, use dudes with lots of health and get on napalm/molotovs/grenades because he can't dodge those.

I hit her, I've even killed her, it's just that every turn for her is a phase change and 2 attacks.

You should equip your agent with a nano-nurse and another healing gun (if you have 3 slots unlocked). Also, if Iron Man has the force field unlocked, use it.

I've got the nurse, IM doesn't have the deflector shield yet. Leveling up imo.

I never use items, shields, or healing...

I generally don't.

I use the Norton for shits and giggles. Yet people on my friends list CONSISTENTLY send them to me ... WHY!!!!????!!!! Send me farking energy or avengers points.

Also: Deflector shield is awesome.

Been 5 starring Ch 1 episodes before moving onto Ch 2. I dabbled in Chapter 2 though.

I 2 star everything and then keep moving. It seems like you get better items that way. I wish I could trade loot with you guys.

Loot trading would be nice for sure.. I have so much shit I don't need.

Yeah, I just use Energy, if you send me anything else it gets deleted.

I got to level 40 today. Thanks to this stupid game I have not gotten ANYWHERE on Witcher 2 or ME3.

My friends in Atlanta made huge portions of this. :tu:

Can they send me a super weapon, or at least unlock Wolverine for me? :)

The game now has Mockingbird... but to unlock her you have to do the newly added Spec-Ops missions... which now require yet another item (Unstable Iso-8) for you to spend to do on top of your energy. I'm happy more content was added, but I think they were realizing that there really was little need to pay so they had to come up with something.

How much unstable iso 8 do you think it would take to 5 star all 3 of those missions?

A metric fuck-ton. Each mission uses 5. It doesn't regenerate over time like energy.

Got my ass kicked on Ch.2 Mini Boss. Didn't even get to face Thunderball yet ... wtf? What lvl does my agent have to be?

I was 44 when I did it, but I'm not sure if it scales. I think having the right matchup (and abusing molotovs) is more important than level.

I got Sabertooths Claws from the premium mission where you get Wolverine. They do bleeding x2 on every hit, stackable up to x5. I love them.

I haven't done any of the premiums yet, I've just been using my points to unlocks characters (and the Avengers costumes... they're limited time so I got sucked in like, well, a sucker).

To get Mockingbird you have to 5 star all 3 of the Spec Ops levels, and they're only around for 27 more days.

Any of the premium missions that come with a character cost the same amount of points as just buying the character.

If you trade gold for Unstable ISO-8 it's 1 gold for 5 I8. Each mission should be winnable in like, 6 fights. Each fight costs 5 I8 so if you win each time, it's about 30 I8 to run a mission. That doesn't count deploys, because they also cost 5 I8. You can buy gold for 25 cents (You have to buy at least a dollar worth at a time.).

In trying to 5 star the standard missions I see that it takes at least 7 runs, and that's usually with me doing all I can do, as opposed to just getting to the boss as fast as possible. That means it takes around 210 I8 to 5 star a mission, 3 missions would be 630 I8. To buy the I8 with gold it would take 126 gold. To buy 126 gold it would cost $31.50

Ha, thanks... She is a character I care zero about so that's fine with me.

I sent 20 I8 to all of my allies tonight. You can only accept 50 gifts a day, but in 7 days I could have enough I8 (assuming I get them sent to me).

I came into this thread expecting a new Ultimate Alliance game. I'm leaving this thread disappointed.

This game is more fun than MUA. On a related note, why aren't either of those games up on Games on Demand?

It is the best one I have ever played. I think itneouod donrrally well on a console with some tweaks. I like that I can play on my phone and tablet too.

I'm level 52 and I just finished Chapter 7. But Chapter 8 isn't available yet! Is there a timetable for the next few chapters?

They want you to play Spec-Ops now, so maybe a few weeks?

I finally unlocked Spiderman. He seems WAY overpowered. You should buy him as soon as you can.

Him and Hulk are the two most powerful characters in the game, but that's also why they are the most expensive.

But Wolvie and Cap cost the same as those two.
