There have been so many fewer instances of multiple discs on Xbox 360 than there were on PS1.

Um, I'm still enjoying my Xbox 360 and PS3 right now.. This is honestly the first generation where I don't feel like I'm in a rush to go anywhere else, aka, I will not be getting the new consoles at launch. The only console that I felt like needed an upgrade sooner was the Wii for obvious reasons. I have so many games I'm behind on too so that is another factor.
Why is that an issue in any way? Because at one point (or 2 points if it's a 3 disc game) in the entire game (and usually games with multiple discs are upwards of 20 hours long) you have to get off of your lazy ass and put a different disc in the tray of your system? This is seriously a problem for you?
I wish I were done with discs entirely. I'm definitely done with multiple discs. The PS4 better have every game on PSN day one.
Not 20 hours. Dead Space 2 had its disc switch like 5 hours in. Mass Effect 2 also had me going to disc 1 for some subquests. Forza 3's install disc and day one DLC was a mess.
It's just something that need not exist. As an example, there's another platform which can put the full game on one disc. That is just objectively better.
It's the physical releases that cause the PSN/XBOD releases to be so expensive, because fucking GameStop would lose its shit if it got undercut. Physical PC games are all but dead, and obviously there are no iOS ones.
