Apparently there wasn't a whole lot of hacking involved, so a lot of the text in menus is abbreviated.

I still own the PS2 original though I will never play it.
I sure as shit will play a translation through emulation nation though!
I'm pissed at Sega for not releasing a remake of PS1 in English.
Looks pretty spartan. Hopefully they pick up some help and do a VWF and expand item names and such.
The original PS is a pretty low bar for localization, though. Although there is a re-translation hack of that (which also adds the original FM music back).
I was concerned about whether it would work on my PS2 after reading the included txt file, but thankfully, it works fine.
I was happy until I saw what was needed to get the BIOS from my PS2 to play. :(
You can get the BIOS file you need in about 30 seconds of typing and clicking.
or you could do the best thing and get a PS2 memory card exploit rolling
It's a way to get a PS2 to run homebrew software simply by having a configured memory card inserted. Google around "free mcboot" and you'll find a good amount of info, if you're interested.
I don't think it works on the latest slims, but I could be wrong.
I kind of just want to buy a Jap PS2 slim for import PS and PS2 games.
This runs pretty well in the latest PCSX2 anyway. The DX10 renderer fixes a lot of the problems the emu had with 2D games.
The translation seems pretty weak, overall, but it gets the job done, and I like the remake. It's still just as grindy and difficult as ever, though.
