Even if RG3 did take himself out, Shanahan should be out there lying about it and taking the heat. That's his job.

Shanahan put his trust in his team captain when maybe he shouldn't have, more questions are coming up about the team doctors role in this and whether Shanahan went against their judgement that the injury was serious enough to not allow his QB to start in the first place, after throwing 2 touchdowns ,the team and a majority of the fans (including myself) were confident he was well enough to keep his team competitive for the remainder of the game regardless of his injury status.
No doubt Shanahan is a shady dude and it is hard to believe he is 100% being truthful about the situation but a lot of people are playing Monday Morning QB on the result of this on the outcome of the game and the future of the teams franchise QB.
MLB is hard to compare to in this type of situation because of the shorter season length and larger amount of media coverage given to the NFL, although Shanahan was hoping for a Kirk Gibson type miracle with his QB yesterday.
This isn't the same as KG though, there ae a lot of difference all going against RG3. But it isn't even second guessing...there was one run where he literally was walking to the sidelines in a diagonal direction on a good play since it was well-blocked. Yoshi even mentioned the play. Shanahan had to take him out, I had never seen anyone hobble so much on a play.
I'm not even saying he shouldn't have started the game. But it was more and more obvious that he should come out, that play being the definite pulling time
I am going to try to put an end to this discussion with a quote that was made about an hour ago,
"When adversity strikes you respond in one of two ways....You step aside and give in..Or you step up and fight." RGIII
That's what a player should say, it doesn't mean he is right all the time or should be listened to.
My parents expected me to ask for extra Oreos every night, doesn't mean they gave them to me.
Ruh roh, Redskins. Unless Griffin has Peterson's healing ability, we may find out how good Cousins is.
Clemons is done as well. Fucking lucky ass Falcons.
Peterson should be getting quite a few calls this offseason on rehab tips
Take him to Kobe's doctor in Germany.
Peterson's a freak physical specimen though, beyond even 'super athlete'
