I don't think Mario Hat is real, just something someone thought was funny. She'd have overalls and everything if it was (and maybe there is one but i don't think it's that)

I'm insanely excited for this. Out of the games coming this Fall/Winter, I think this is the only one that I'm there day 1 for. I put 40 hours into the first in like a week, and got 1000/1000 achievements on it. It was close to my favorite game of last gen - only topped by Mario Galaxy and Uncharted 2.
Now, I'm really curious how they're gonna top the finale of the first for sheer over the topness.
I already have my preorder in for it, so I'll be there day one as well. Thanks to BBY's GCU and the $10 gift card from preordering The Evil Within, I'm in at $38. I have zero doubt it'll be worth that. The last time we got a Mikami game and a Kamiya game the same month was probably Viewtiful Joe, which obviously wasn't a coincidence.
Yoshi you pre-order from BB a bunch. Question for you, when it comes to pre-order bonus DLC, will they have it as a sheet of paper or something they give you when you pick it up? (not about Bayonetta here)

I've only pre-ordered 2 things from BB ever and neither were games, and both times they just sent me out onto the store floor to get the item.
Honestly, I am not sure I've gotten preorder bonus DLC from Best Buy. The closest thing I recall is that $10 gas card with Mario Kart 8, and they sent that via email, since my order was online with in-store pickup.
I've not preordered many things, but DLC has always been sent via email.
They didn't take my email when I pre-ordered : /

This game being a wii-u exclusive blew my mind like indie kickstarters saying their focus platform is wii-u. That's like wanting your game to be seen by the smallest group of people possible(like Japanese xbone players hah!). If platinum could put out anarchy reigns in the US, surely they could of funded a multi system release that would of brought in more money than this fiasco will.
*sigh* This game being a Wii U exclusive is because Nintendo paid for it. It wouldn't exist at all if they hadn't. Choice of platform = nonexistent. If they could have funded a multi-platform release they would have, but they couldn't, so Nintendo funded a Wii U release. If it sells poorly at least it's better than not existing at all.

I used to buy consoles around launch when I was younger and time felt slower moving but nowadays it makes more sense for me to wait. I didn't own a PS3 until late 2010 because the PC and 360 had me covered for all but a handful of games. I caught up with a few years worth of PS3 exclusives in under two months. I have to say the Wii U's first year definitely had more games, for me anyway. I've had the PS4 since launch and Shadows of Mordor in October will be the first game I buy for it. I think the Wii U makes a great compliment system. It's really good games are exclusives that you're not going to find on the PC, PS4, or Xbone.

re: Bayo 2, a small number of people bitched about performance dropping in W101 and I never felt a thing. Hopefully it's that again.
I'm legitimately surprised that they didn't need to noticeably tone down the alpha effects and that the only noticeable change was the elimination of DOF in some cutscenes. Combine that with the enhancements they made and it sounds like a really good port.
NO SCREEN TEARING. That's more than enough to make it the best version, IMO.
The stuttering in its place tends to bother me just as much (sometimes more) in games like Vanquish, Dark Souls II, and Dragon's Dogma, so that alone doesn't really make a difference to me.
