Radiant Historia and the Gamecube S-Video Cable arrived from Amazon. Strange "packaging" (if flimsy two bags qualifies as such) for the cable, but I tried it with the Gamecube and it seems to do a great job. Noticeable improvement in both Super Mario Sunshine and Metroid Prime, as brief tests.
Also arriving is a little indie game called Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
When I bought the cables from Nintendo themselves years ago they came in a shitty plastic bag stapled to a folded piece of cardboard. If that's what you had that shit was official.

I picked up a Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 controller from Goodwill in Denton, Texas. It was only $5.99!
I tried it out with After-Burner in MAME. It worked perfecty without having to make any adjustments. Now to go download Space Harrier. :)
Half life 2 was great for its time. It did a lot of cool stuff that wasn't commonplace at the time. Unfortunately most of those things are standard issue these days.

Got Sticker Star a few days ago, and I've got a deluxe Wii U on its way to me this week, as well as a review copy of Epic Mickey 2. The demo of that has me wishing for the original being remade on the PS3 since it would have controller support - helping the camera out a lot, and Move controls, which would be far more accurate than the Wii remote ones.
