Of course. Some groups are just more vocal about it. And then when the emporer has no clothes, it's charm and magic.
I want to play this, though. It's 15 with 25% off at GMG
Yeah, I like puzzle platformers, I like Ron Gilbert, I like adventure games. Seems up my alley.
I hope that game is good. I'm thinking of buying just because of Ron Gilbert + it's almost an adventure game.
The PC version is released a day after consoles so I'm hoping we see reviews beforehand.
Reviews for The Cave seem positive, if not overwhelmingly so. They say the replay value is really high, and it's a lot more adventurey than I expected, but the 360 version at least has some technical problems with the frame rate and some collision bugs and what not. And there's a lot of backtracking.
I like most of what I read, so I'll be in tomorrow.
So The Cave is much more of a real adventure game than I had anticipated. Yes, it's wrapped around this platformer format, but there's not really an action component. There is some Lost Vikings-style cooperation puzzle stuff, but it's mostly inventory puzzles.
I haven't played very far, but I like where it's coming from so far.
I've played the first hour and think it's very Lost Vikings. I don't like how the characters are completely silent, and the lack of dialogue options. Overall, it's fun, but there isn't anything exceptional about it.
Anyone tried the co-op yet? I'll pick it up down the line for a couple bucks if that part is any good.
