Somehow this didn't get a thread. I think I mentioned its announcement in the TellTale Back to the Future / Jurassic Park thread, but it never got split out. Anyway, several people have now finished this with universally positive impressions of the story. I'm curious about how much the choices affect the story, as it seems like it's quite significant.
Joust mentioned the boat. Did you actually use it? I got the gas and battery, but the boat was stolen by Vernon before I could use it.
Going way earlier, did the choice of stealing supplies from the stationwagon change the "big bad"? If you chose not to steal, does someone besides the dad from the stationwagon take Clem?
Does Lilly always leave but maybe kill someone different first? She killed Carley in my play through, which sucked balls for several reasons, mostly centering around her being innocent and my not getting laid.
Is it possible for the protagonist to survive? He died chained to a heater in jewelry store for me, though I told Clem not to shoot him, since she didn't need to go through that.

The overarching story doesn't really change at all. The illusion of choice that they build is actually really impressive.

Yeah, I read all the wikis afterward. Firstblood is correct.
I also don't want a season two because for one, I don't want to play 'games' like this a lot and two it was just too damn sad having everyone die
The answer to all your questions is no. Unless of course Carley was the one you didn't save and then Doug gets killed trying to save Ben from her
I liked Chapter 2 the best. That was creepy and unexpected

I also chose to let Ben fall to his death which changed Kenny's "death" to a much bettet ending for Kenny . The main story path can't be altered, but the way the events happen can.

I saved Ben but Ben was always messing things up, he was the worst in the game. My choices were always to attempt to save women and children first, with the exception of Omid because he was limping

In my play through I dropped Ben to his death. When the remaining group left the bedroom with the dead couple in the bed, I couldn't figure out why they showed the balcony come loose from the wall until I watched my wife playing. She didn't kill Ben so he was the last one out and the whole balcony fell with him on it. Kenny is last seen trying to save/put Ben out of his misery. In my play through the group (without Ben) is walking along the roof shortly after leaving the balcony and when they come up on the hole in the roof, Kenny accidentally knocks the walkie talkie into the hole on the roof and Omid's girl ( name?) jumps in to get it. Once down there she realizes she can't get out. With walkers making their way near her, Kenny jumps down to save her and is last seen fighting off the walkers after boosting her to safety. It was a much better end scene for Kenny.

Not really difficult at all. It should be played just for the great story.

Episode 1 for iOS is free today. Anyone know how that port holds up?

I can't imagine it being too bad based on the way the game looks and plays.

Doh! Bought all the episodes just the day before. Can't say I am disappointed though. Game is pretty well done, and helps fill the void until new episodes in Feb.
I am looking forward to playing again and just trying out the different choices. Not sure how many actually really change how your story plays out, but it seems like there could be a good deal to do differently.

Mmm, I grabbed the first episode and it's pretty silky on my iPhone 5. I'll probably buy the rest of the episodes tonight, as playing this kind of game in bed at night is kind of neat.

So it looks like the Xbox 360 disc version of this is having major issues with lag and other things that make the game unplayable. I got the special edition version for my son for Xmas and found out the hard way unfortunately. It appears to be mostly related to the slim 4gb Xbox. Hope TellTale fix this shit soon.

I sold a lot of these on 360 and ps3 this past week. I cant wait to see how many get returned because people thought it was a Left 4 Dead clone.

I just finished this and I did not like the last chapter AT ALL. Kenny's death (I saved Ben) was just fucking stupid. I thought he was going to use his last bullet to put Ben out of his misery and escape, not take on a hoard of walkers alone. It made no sense and was a waste.
The ending was shit too. Clementine manages to drag an unconscious man under a metal garage door alone, after seeing her dead parents and with walkers everywhere? Yeah, right. And then she gets out of the city and you don't know what happens to her? All that fucking suffering (I found this game to be emotionally draining, which is how it should be) for Lee to die and Clem to be left to an unknown fate? Fuck you Telltale.

The reason you say "fuck you TellTale" is exactly why I loved it. Anything else and I would have been pissed.

I gave the first (free) episode a good shot. I don't get it I guess. It reminds me of everything bad about games from 20ish years ago.

I'm on Episode 2 and it looks like my save is corrupted. Not happy about it.
