Why can't I do both things?
I imagine it can. The requirements they advertised are probably what they're targetting for their first gen, first-party games, but I'm sure there will be others that shoot above or below that mark. I can't see Star Citizen hitting 90Hz stereo 1080p on any current hardware, but there will probably be games with simple graphics and updates of old games that can do it no problem.
Seriously, Resident Evil 4 was as good as graphics ever need to be, and I'm pretty sure all of our computers are as powerful as two Gamecubes. So we're all good, right?
