Their store seems kinda broken right now. If they aren't sold out this afternoon, I'll order then.
The high price point makes this a tougher decision though. If Vive is comparable with all the hand tracking stuff, it'll be pretty tempting to turn my basement into a large VR room (although I don't really want to move my PC down there long term).
But content wise there's really nothing announced for Vive. PSVR and Oculus at least have games I want to play in the works.
The headset tech is the same or similar. Vive has all this room shit. Unless Valve is subsidizing it's gonna be more expensive.
Gamers fooled themselves into thinking this is gonna be like $200 when in reality it's brand new tech and a new market. It's like whining that OLED tvs were $20k when they came out.

Vote with your $$$, Frog. Hold off on getting it. Buying it will only justify their ridiculous price point. If they don't sell at that price point they'll be forced to drop the price. I've played with this thing and as cool as it is, it's not $600 cool.
I do have real concerns that the price will slow the adoption rate and thus the support, especially for "made for VR" games.
No, it is 600 dollars cool. I just thought about all the VR headsets coming out and the one I already have, and looked at what is in the pipeline games-wise
