I think they are trying the TNL image attach feature(within the quick reply box) which has a habit of working and not working.
But yeah if they are hotlinking ... laziness. Seeing as how the TNL attach feature within the advanced setting has a spot for web links.

The attachment feature in vBulletin 4 is ass. A lot of times you attach an image here or at Sega-16 and all you see is "Attachment 34234030" instead of the image.
I've never had any issues attaching images on TNL.

I attach anything important to my TNL album. If I'm posting a random funny image fuck attaching, it doesn't matter if the link vanishes.
