This Gen Is Almost Over, Yet I'm Still Waiting for...

Interesting. Apparently the 80GBs were a mixed bag in that area, and I could have waited longer to buy one. Damn!

The 80 gb did not have full BC, though the percentage of games it had trouble with might be small enough that you can pretend it does.
It was done through software and not hardware.

My standard plan is to wait for 4 must-have exclusives or a price drop. Got a 3DS at launch because with all the E3 hype I was afraid it would be impossible to find for a year or more, like the Wii was. Hoo boy, lesson learned. Sticking to the plan from now on.

I did the same with WiiU. Waste of $$$$$$$

I'm not reading this whole thread, but I got my PS3 when Circuit City had them on sale for $300 for a 60gb Fat. Still have it.

All I meant was that you love Metal Gear and that there are other people who do too that drive prices for Metal Gear stuff higher.

Ah, well yeah. I think my frame of mind was it was coming out soon and a price drop/sale happened.
