That's not even one thing. It's an entire industry. It's called the Internet of things. Google Glass and the Pebble watch are kind of the first hardware coming out specifically for it.

I wonder what their price point is. We had trouble getting it under 300 because of the GSM interface.

What was your idea for interfacing with the light and other objects in the home?

I'm not sure what your question is. Our device could monitor and control anything that ran off of Vac.

As for interfacing, just change the input and output plug. The requirements for a screw bulb plug and a wall outlet are the same, electrically. Its all 120 Vac.
