I'm hoping there will be a HD collection of the first two at some point although given the PS4 coming up the window of opportunity is getting smaller but then again PS2 was supported for quite a while too before support was cut off and there's always the possibility of them being PSN games.

Some stuff I just listed because they're notable exclusives but I'm not a big God of War fan myself either. I like the Greek mythology aspect of it so that would be the main draw for me but otherwise there are other games I'd probably buy before GoW.

I have to admit though, I was expecting to list a lot more PS3 exclusives that interest me and while the library is generally bigger than Xbox's list it still ultimately tops out at maybe 10-15 that I REALLY want with Metal Gear, Uncharted, Journey, and Tails of Xillia mainly being my most wanted. All the other stuff are just cool bonus exclusives like the HD collections or games I'd consider buying or just better versions of games like Final Fantasy XIII/XII-2, L.A. Noir, and Sine Mora.

I forgot about Tokyo Jungle, that one's also good.

Yoshi: I like how you're padding with stuff that's on other systems and PC but always make sure to point out how such things don't count in the 360 thread.

I called it out very obviously. Since it's Will's thread, and he doesn't have a Wii or a gaming PC, it's probably important to him.

Then explain you saying that Dust can be crossed off.

Or GOW, etc.

It's crazy how much better the PS3 list is than the 360 list.

Killzone should get more love. #3 in particular is a really good FPS, both MP and SP. I feel like the game suffers because people associate it with Resistance, which is a genuinely trash series.

It also suffers because it followed part 2, which didn't help its image.

He already had a 360, so frankly I don't know what the hell the point of that thread was. This seems to be helping him make a purchasing decision. It's not like there's any comparison between the two exclusive lineups, so there certainly isn't any need to pad other than to help Will.

Having purchased and played most of them at this point, the top 10 Xbox games listed on that thread (alongside Project Gotham 4 and Ace Combat 6) have all been pretty enjoyable for me actually. PS3 seems to have a more action/adventure + RPG heavy line up in though as opposed to Xbox's but I suppose you can't go wrong with Gears, Halo, Tales and Lost Odyssey which seem the most comparable to Uncharted, Nino Kuni, and Metal Gear.

The ones I listed here, while sure are basically wish lists, are all I'll definitely be buying and consider worth getting a PS3 for. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered, plus I'd like to hear what exclusives you guys genuinely find great for the system.

If it's on another system, regardless of if the OP owns that system or not, then it's not an exclusive.

Well John, to be fair to Yoshi on the Xbox thread I listed a middle ground sub-category of games available on Xbox + PC/Steam but aren't available on PS3 so he's just following through on that end which is fine. While the PC/Steam user base is growing I don't know if it's as wide spread so while it would be foolish to say that the PC/Steam category doesn't count there's kind of a third category there dependent on whether someone just games on either system and not PC.

But in general exclusives should definitely be games you can only play on PS3 or Xbox which so far I think everyone's been keeping fair.

Yoshi, you played Tokyo Jungle? I don't remember hearing your thoughts on that one.

Also: Dust 514 is an exclusive, at least for the moment. I can't see CCP leaving that on the triple.

Dust 514 does support the Move for whatever that's worth, though I've been too lazy to try it out.

It also supports M/Kb, doesn't it? I have the same motivation problem.

I was trying to come up with 10 exclusives, and to be honest I've realized I haven't actually played 10 good exclusives that I can list. I haven't played this system nearly as much as it deserves. I will add Time Crisis: Razing Storm as an excellent game nobody else has mentioned.

I'm backing that Time Crisis recommendation up. Though, let me ask ya, Gohan: Are you referring to the ports or that janky Move single player game?

The arcade game(s!) That shitty FPS-like thing doesn't exist.

Oh, bullshit. SpoDaddy wouldn't have left off the Nintendo equivalents of God of War, LittleBigPlanet, Ratchet & Clank, Hot Shots, etc. The Show is the best sports series out there. The fact that you don't play sports games doesn't mean it doesn't belong on the list.

I don't play sports games. Listening to those who do, NBA 2K would win that crown, followed by EA NHL. If you want to argue that The Show is the best baseball, I will grant you that. For the same reason I would grant Madden for being the best football. I like the Uncharted Series, but they're popcorn games.There's no reason they're list worthy but God of War isn't. Ni No Kuni? Mediocrity in a dazzling package. Yakuza? A series that people will say is awesome because it's cool to say obtuse shit is great and if you don't see it then you're the problem. Shit is way boring 90% of the time. Like those damn Persona games I try to convince myself I like for the same reason. I don't get how an HD treatment suddenly makes a game that's been available elsewhere an exclusive. If that's the case, where's your Ico/SotC?

I don't like Metal Gear or Gran Turismo, but I wouldn't argue that they're not compelling exclusives for a lot of people.

I went on a big TM spree before it came out to get hyped up and found it to control far worse than even the ones where you moved with the D-Pad. Plus, they nixed each character getting their own story.

I thought Twisted Metal 2 and Black were pretty fun car combat games, among the best even.

I haven't played a whole lot of them as of recent nor have I played the PS3 version but seems to rate in the above average territory.

I wouldn't have but a friend owned it so I borrowed it to see if the series had gotten any better. I don't mind giving chances to a series to see if they evolve over time.

Twisted Metal PS3 is unnecessarily ugly and the voice acting is sad and sweet tooth's armor is outrageous. The new levels are pretty sweet though. I hate the way the pickups look, and they seem to be scattered haphazardly, but finding all the power missiles is still fun. Get a fast car and it's not a terrible game.

All I know is the PS1 games are overrated garbage.

They were back then. Toy Commander DC is better than Twisted Metal.

I really liked TM1 back in 1995. It was fun, fast-paced, had sharp mechanics and level design, and was very novel. The series kind of worn out its welcome by TM2 though. TM3 and TM4 were worthless. Black had a few interesting wrinkles (like the big ferris wheel) but I partly blame it for bringing upon the "dark and gritty" plague.

I played a ridiculous number of hours of Twisted Metal 2 co-op, that game was a blast. I bought TM Black, hearing good things about it, but hardly played it.

I agree with this whole post. TM1 was phenomenal. 2 was already tired, 3 was terrible, 4 I never played, and Black was fun but yeah, dark and grittylulz. This new one is pretty bad.

Tokyo Jungle is kind of neat looking. Valkyria Chronicles might be cool but it seems like something that would lose its appeal before the end of the game for me. Can't tell.

and if you don't have Gundam Extreme Vs why do you even have a PS3. the game is like $30 now.

Uncharted 2 is the best Uncharted.

Valkyria Chronicles was awesome, too bad the sequel sucked and was on the PSP, and the third never made it to our shore.

God of War III was epic, great end to the "trilogy". Ascension sucked.

Heavy Rain with the PS Move was a great experience.

FlOwer was amazing.

MGS4 was rad, now with trophies and single install fixes a lot of peoples issues.

Super Stardust HD is the best arcade game on PSN.

PixelJunk Monsters is amazing, and im so glad the "HD" version is coming to PSVita

Warhawk was a great multiplayer game, the DLC packs fragmented the player-base though. Starhawk I am just playing the single player now but it looks like it made a few improvements to the whole thing.

Wipeout HD is a must have for any Wipeout fan, and the Wipeout on Vita allows you to download all the tracks and challenges and play it on your vita.

The new Twisted Metal has some of the most infuriating controls I've ever tried to deal with. I hated it.

As far as car combat though, the only one I ever really liked was Rogue Trip.
