I hope this is never brought stateside just so Mzo cries until the end of time.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the Chinese Monster Hunter MMO clone that's been around for a while.
This looks like a very China-targeted F2P MMO that probably won't leave Asia.
And I would be surprised if it played all that much like Monster Hunter, given the trailer and developer.
Doesn't look like it. I think Hunter Blade is the game I was thinking of and that was made by JoyChina, this one is be Tencent.
Ahhh this is what I was thinking of http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=484339

There's a lot of CBT videos out there now. It, well, looks exactly like MH.
Only big difference I saw was a new no-slowdown running sheath. Which sucks. And some kind of supermove bar in the lower right. Seemed to disapper after a while during a section where he was running around aimlessly with his weapon sheathed instead of attacking.
And at one point the person took two big hits in quick succession and wasn't dizzied. Curious about that.
That looked like Monster Hunter without everything that makes the game hard. Easy camera control, and it looked like WASD type movement, meaning no more tank controls. Also HP numbers when you hit so you can tell how well you're doing? That's almost sacrilege isn't it?
Also looked like that guy was losing no stam at all, and wasn't affected by the roars. Maybe just his skills.
Some of that might be because it's CBT and they're just bug-testing.
?
Tank controls? Like, resident evil style? Were they like that prior to Tri?
With MH4 they've taken another step towards making the movement more fluid by allowing you turn 180 degrees without having to do a small movement toward either side. And you can change direction while doing a walking sheath, as opposed to being locked into the direction you were facing until the animation completes.
No.
Everyone always said the clunky controls and terrible camera were deliberate design decisions, and I'd have to agree (since they barely improved over the course of 20 games). Wonder why they'd change them now, and by doing so are they admitting that they were shit before?
Because they were.
Yeah sorry, not tank controls. Just slow and pretty momentum based. I didn't know that was different for MH4- I haven't really watched a lot of that yet. It just looked like that guy was running full speed in any direction he wanted.
This is a different company making a MH game, so its not really Capcom? That's my guess.
