HEYOH
So, is an eventual Marvel role part of the standard contract to play Hannibal Lecter, or what?
Phase 3 Announced.
May 6, 2016: Captain America 3: Civil War
November 4, 2016: Doctor Strange
May 5, 2017: Guardians of the Galaxy 2
July 28, 2017: Thor: Ragnarok
Nov 3, 2017: Black Panther
July 6, 2018: Captain Marvel Carol Danvers, not Mar-Vell
November 2, 2018: Inhumans
May 4, 2018: Avengers Infinity War Part 1
May 3, 2019: Avengers Infinity War Part 2
And they've already found their Black Panther - calling it now, he's making a surprise appearance in Avengers 2.
I just read this. Mind blown, especially by the fact that Avengers 3 is a two-parter. And an Inhumans movie! Holy shit! Black Bolt's gonna tear shit up!
Also looking forward to seeing how Thor: Ragnarok (with that title, you know shit's gonna get real) and Captain Marvel turn out.
Curious, though...no Hulk movie?
AND THE BLACK PANTHER IS.... some actor.
Weird that they got Nathan Fillion for that role.
They're finally getting around to *all I ever wanted* out of these movies.

Watch it while it lasts:
Putting whether you like comic book movies aside, is this weird to anyone else? People jammed into a theatre, screaming in ecstacy over marketing materials that marketing departments want them to see? The Infinity War teaser notwithstanding, they're cheering for the trademarked logos of intellectual properties on a screen, man. I think Plato wrote a story about this.
Ever watch an Apple conference?
Nope.
They're people yelling about slightly rounder volume buttons on new iPhone models.
People like to yell about shit and have Secret Knowledge of stuff that can't be bought yet.
They are people who have enjoyed Marvel's film output thus far, and are just looking forward to seeing that cinematic universe expanded further and more characters that they like being brought to life.
And yeah, the Apple thing too.
Here's some more of that for ya:

Wrong. He's making the cameo in Captain America: Civil War. And he will be heavily hinted at in Age of Ultron ... ______since you know Ultron breaks Cap's shield and Wakanda has vibranium. And part of the plot is Ultron is in search of an all Vibranium body ... THUS Wakanda.____
Chadwick Boseman was in the movies Draft Day and Get On Up (The James Brown bio-pic that went up against Guardians of the Galaxy). Reason Black Panther will start cameo'ing/hinted at sooner. There was an easter egg in the Age of Ultron trailer ...

____Ulysses Klaw____
I just like that Carol Danvers will be the Captain Marvel character.
Other rumor with legs is that Spiderman will be part of the MCU by either Civil War or Infinity War. Kevin Feige was asked after the event and he said "I can neither confirm or deny that rumor."

Sad that the only DC movie on that list that seems to have any potential at all is Lego Batman.
Shit, Advocate drags himself put of the mothballs.
Anyway, from a description I read of the Age of Ultron trailer shown at SDCC, your spoiler above is incorrect: The shot of Cap's broken shield is from a vision of the future final battle with Thanos that is foreshadowed. Makes more sense, since Thanos DID destroy Cap's shield in that battle, something I'm pretty sure Ultron never did. Besides, why would Ultron want a body made of metal that he just broke?Anyway, we shall see next year!
Yeah, this rumor has been going around for ages now, and I hope to hell it finally pans out to be true. Any talk going around if they're going to use Andrew Garfield or re-cast the role if it actually happens?Quote:

Bring back toby. Fuck it.
I think Toby was a better Peter Parker than he was Spiderman, and the opposite for Andrew Garfield.
I haven't seen andrew garfield, but I could imagine that to be the case.
I thought bale was a great wayne, and an ok batman.
I think I agree with you on that. BatBale always seemed overshadowed by the villain of each movie.
Wait. I just want to correct myself.
Gas is right. I read it wrong and forgot how the films are being released. He's right. Black Panther san garb will be in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Day One.
Knowing marvel they will reveal it all in the trailers.
News on the Netflix front: Krysten Ritter is Jessica Jones, Mike Colter "believed to be" Luke Cage.
:confused:Quote:
Melissa Rosenberg, who wrote all five “Twilight” movies, will script the "Jessica Jones" series.
So Cumberbach is officially Dr. Strange now.
Two threads to say this. Benedict Cucumberbatch Fever at TNL.
Nope. Firing Wright was the dumbest thing they could have done.
That seems way too serious for fucking ant man
Awful.
It probably was when Edgar Wright was doing it.
Mind's not made up. We shall see.
I do like that they made fun of the name, however.
April 10th release date set for Daredevil on Netflix.
That's my reaction. It's not a great trailer but Marvel has built up some good will with me. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt for now.
Having just re-watched Guardians, it's a good movie despite itself. The forced structure of the heroes coming together to overcome desperate odds really pins one hand behind its back. There's some truly awful drama moments that I'm sure are going to be shoehorned into Ant-man in the worst way possible.
That looks terrible.
Ant Man? Yeah Ant Man looks baaaad. Avengers looks ok though!
Yeah I was referring to Ant Man, that trailer is embarrassing.
It really is weird, how it has an almost apologetic feel. Like, "yeah, we know a guy who shrinks and talks to ants sounds lame, but do us a solid and give it a shot, okay?" Compare to how Guardians seemed like an idea that would be just as tough a sell to mainstream audiences, yet there they came out swinging.
Sweeeet. Miles Morales please.
Fuck this heritic imposter Miles. There can be only one true Spider-man. And Ben Reilly is his name! Wait what?
I hope half the movie is spent going over spider-man's origin, otherwise the audience may be lost.
I liked Garfield a lot in the role. Oh well who gives a shit in the end.
Fuck both of you. Peter Parker is the best god damn hero in the Marvel universe and he deserves better.
Marvel has done nothing but shit all over Spider-Man for the past 20 years. I think they secretly hate the character.
I really want to see Spider-Man:Reign as a movie.
Spider-Man is Archie and the Riverdale Gang except Archie has superpowers and the 'family drama' is a little more immediate. That's all it has ever been.
In other news:
Firefly WAS that good, you monster!
I feel like the Star Wars/Star Trek one is backwards.
When during the day is this scheduled to hit tomorrow?
It's up.
Go fuck yourself 3AM.
Dollar Shave Club, Murdock. You're a fucking lawyer.
Yeah they're just trying to make him look older and gruffer which is ehh.
I first thought the black parts of the costume were a darker red but since it's black I'm a little disappointed in that alteration. Still I'll wait to see the full costume to pass full judgement.
I'm betting that full costume shows up on the final episode. I'd love to be wrong.
It does, but he actually fights in it a bit instead of it popping up in the last seconds or something.
The fight at the end of Episode 2 is RAD.
Just popped in to say that so far E2 is far better than E1. The bullshit exposition in the pilot had me almost turn it off by the time the opening credits rolled.
E2 having Rosario Dawson helps a lot too.
Watched ep 1. So far so good. Will watch more.
Also like that they are referencing movie continuity.
Holy fuck the end of episode 3.
I'm so bummed I have to wait for Monday to start watching this. :(
you think Power Man and Jessica Jones will be as good? Is it power man or Heroes for Fire with Iron Fist?
Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist are each getting one solo season, then they come together for one season of Defenders. Past that, who knows.
finished episode 2. holy shit that last fight. felt like something out of oldboy. the fight choreography is so raw. it actually looks like im watching a street fight.
These fights are incredible so far, I can't wait to see what they can do with Iron Fist.
The direction throughout the series has been remarkable. Fantastic camera work.
Nothing has come close to episode twos hallway fight yet.
Oh man. Get the saw. That was awesome. Loving this series.
This really needs it's own topic.
Full Ant-Man trailer.

Looks better, Yellow Jacket's design is a little too uninspired outside of the colors though.
I wished they went for something less super techy but maybe it'll grow on me (pun intended).
I thought the internet was just "being the internet" with the Thomas shit that's been floating around. I'm so glad they weren't.
Dammit, I didn't look in here before bumping the Ant Man thread. My bad.
Why would you? Timber is the giant fuck up, not you.
Gosh Timber.
Jeez.
There hasn't been a Marvel movie with a woman lead in ten years because Supergirl (1984).
http://thinkprogress.org/culture/201...t-superheroes/
Granted, we don't have context, but it's still pretty funny.
Never saw Supergirl, but Elektra and Catwoman both ran as fast as they could away from the source material and bombed appropriately.
Yeah, those have more to do with being bad movies, than being movies with female leads.
