Top loader NES? $20 is nuts.
You're a dead man.
Nope! I was there last year and I think 2 years before that. Tables are expensive, it's an 8+ hour drive, they have that stupid "preview" Friday night so I have to have 1 extra night at a hotel. I've never done well there. People in general last year were cheap and unwilling to spend much on anything. But that 2 hour Friday night I had people trying to haggle me down like it was 2 hours to close on Sunday. My buddy made money last year but it was a fluke, he brought a tote full of old junk controllers and people were paying too much for them to get the Angry Video Game Nerd to sign 'em.
It's a shit show compared to the Midwest Classic in WI. It's worth checking out if you're local but I wouldn't travel for it.
Correct, but it's been at least 6 years (if not longer). And I think I changed to to Xeno G shortly after the last TNL board crash in '02.
Also, I would murder someone to find an arcade Timber machine in good condition. I've only seen one in person once and it wasn't for sale.

I kept this super sized so you could see how disgustingly dirty this SNES is. Frankly, even at this size, it doesn't do it justice. I would have been embarrassed to ship it that way. At least it was cheap, and it's intact and fully functional.
Consider this a "before" picture. I wouldn't even let Akumajo Dracula come into contact with it. In a week or so I'll hopefully be able to post the "after" pictures.
2nd car purchase in as many months. This time around it is a 2010 Kia Soul to go along with my 2010 Nissan Xterra.
0ga tunnels for my ears. The journey is complete. Now to play the waiting game from the Canadian Etsy seller who is making my Master Ball poke ball plugs.
One vehicle that is the main one hit 100k, we wanted to upgrade it. The other vehicle came down with some major issues so we traded it in.
WTF. I re-attached it above. That should have fixed it. I guess I had the old one cached.
Pre-ordered Beyond: Two Souls at Sony's store for $35 - https://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/st...52921666534651
FTL: Faster Than Light $2.49 from FTLgame.com
A mahjong set. I am excite!
- Kid Icarus, 3DS
- Ghost Recon 3DS
I would have gotten Resident Evil: Mercenaries, but they couldn't find the card itself.
Damn, my 3DS collection has gotten pretty big. I'm playing this thing daily, and there are lots of great games to find used (fuck you, Cliffy B.!).
$35, original grey/black system 2 controllers, exp pack and all the games in the pic.

What an ugly system this was.
WCW/NWO Revenge! So many memories, that was like the only game I played for months at one point.
It's amazing how much better that game plays than the current WWE games.
It's depressing.
Could you imagine if they just re-released No Mercy on XBLA with a current roster and 60 fps? I'd pay $100 for that. Can we get a Kickstarter going Jeremy?
I know the N64 library is terrible, but wrasslin' still isn't high on the list.
WCW/nWo really was the only worthwhile wrestling game on the 64.
Rey mysterio forever.
The carts are gross, but the console is lovely. Especially the colored ones:

dat Ice Blue.
I always liked the gold one.
I have the gold one at the store. holy shit at how much people pay for them now.
The ice blue one is sexy.

Vs War Gods.
Their competition was GASP and Mace.
I would have said "of the generation" if I didn't already know all the fightmans fans would throw a hissy fit.
KI
The THQ/Yukes wrestling games for N64 were amazing games anyone who says otherwise doesn't know wtf was going on at that time. That WCW/NWO game took everyone by surprise and everyone I knew went nuts over it, wrestling fan or not. The 4 ports on the N64 looked like a genius move when that game came out. Cemented it as a party machine. Each game after that got better and better too.
Agreed. Hated wrestling but played a insane amount of this in college with friends.
Got myself a fairly quiet mechanical keyboard that can be illuminated to replace my six-year-old MS ergonomic, and upgraded my ancient 19" 1440x900 monitor to a 23" 1920x1080. Just the brightness difference alone is stunning, let alone the crazy amount of extra viewing space I now have. The keyboard layout being standard is throwing off my typing a lot since I'm so used to having it divided in half, but the improved feel is so damn nice.
Makes me feel like I have a whole new PC!
ANyone who doesn't like the AKI wrestling games, probably hasn't played the AKI wrestling games.
Disco Inferno as the World Heavyweight Champion all day every day.
$150 and up.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Wii U) $40 at Target this week (I price-matched at BB)
Daughter got me Animal Crossing New Leaf for my birfday. Gotta finish Class of Heroes 2 so that I can get into it!
NES
Clash at Demonhead
Legendary Wings
Milon's Secret Castle
GEN
Forgotten Worlds
Arrow Flash
N64
Super Mario 64
Starfox 64
Wrestlemania 2000
Blast Corps
Mario Tennis
F-Zero X
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Killer Instinct Gold
All for $30, and I think my magical fountain of games at the flea market has been tapped, a LOT of stuff was gone since last I went.
Blast Corps is the best game.
No, Star Fox 64 is the best game.
meh
There is a 100% chance that Wrestlemania 2000 is the best game he listed.
Korly is correct.
I will probably play it the most.
TRUEFAX. I have never played Blast Corps before.
There are a few other games that are better, but yeah out of that list i'd also play WM2000 the most in 2013.
No love for Mario Tennis and F-Zero X? I am disappoint.
The thing is, after that pickup the only games worth getting for that system are Mario Golf and...Pokemon Puzzle League?
Ogre Battle, heathen.
Oh, that's a different one than the PSP game? Fair enough.
Wait, that's Tactic's Ogre. Hrm.
Ogre 64 is amazin
The Banjo Kazooie is great, never played Tooie. Space Station Silicon Valley, Body Harvest, Excitebike 64, Harvest Moon 64, Mischief Makers, Bangaioh, Sin and Punishment, Kirby 64, KI Gold lolol, DK 64, Jet Force Gemini, and probably more I'm forgetting.
Also a ton of B games I enjoy but aren't must haves like EWJ 3, WinBack, and a ton more I'd have to look up.
Beetle Adventure Racing you assholes. Its so cute.
Yeah, I have the Beetle game. N64 is one of my least-played consoles and I find it hard to think of the good games for it on the spot.
Rogue Squadron and Battle For Naboo.
Harvest moon 64 is a pile of crap. You literally watch the environment pop in two steps ahead of you.
The two Goemon games are good. The second one might even be great. Also, Sucker Punch's Rocket: Robot On Wheels
N64 was awesome.
How was the resident evil 2 port?
Gameplay wise it was superior to psx.
Music and cutscenes were noticeably compressed.
San Francisco Rush was way good back in the day. I'm still waiting on a modern take...
Haul-wise: promotion/raise and some interest from another department. If I got in there, it would mean more money, but more importantly less human interaction. Oh, yes.
Evil Dead and Army of Darkness in BluRay.
Also, a OKC shirt for $3 on clearance. Hooray.
OK Cupid makes shirts?
Ogre Battle 64 is way better than Tactics Ogre, and completely different. I'm not sure I'd still play it in 2013 though.
Literally every single game on N64 has been surpassed in some way by a more recent game EXCEPT for the AKI wrestling games. Those are the lasting legacies of the N64.
Oh shit Diddy Kong Racing was also great. And Conker.
I will agree that the N64 has aged very, very poorly.
The original Paper Mario is still awesome.

The most glaring omissions from the digitally available Genesis catalog, with the possible exception of Konami's games, are the Thunder Forces. This is my $5 attempt to compensate for that without adding more clutter.
For the record, that was the ebay photo. I'm no photographer, but I can get shit in focus at least.
The WWE gamer is typically not a gamer with refined taste (I don't mean to be snobbish, but w/e). It's no different than the movie licensed games. Most are totally crap and yet people still eat em up
Outside of the Fire Pro games (which are as niche as a game can get) even Japan hasn't made a better wrestling game since the N64. It's like every publisher out there went out of their way to avoid AKI or AKI themselves didn't want to make them any more, which isn't likely since they tried to implement their wrestling system in as many games as they could (first 2 def jam games, ultimate muscle games, & the PSP Yakuza spinoffs).
On one hand, yeah, AKI was just that damn good. On the other hand, WWE has had pretty much ONE developer making their games on almost the exact same engine from the PSOne days since like, 1999. And the fact that they ship a game EVERY YEAR makes it even less likely that they'll ever improve. Doubly so because they continue to sell well. Think Madden.
On a side note, WWE All-Stars was a pretty fun party game. More fighting game than wrestling game, but not really.
Not really. Every non-WWE wrestling game we've seen in the last 2 generations have been failures. And for the most part, they've all been dreadful. So it's not like wrestling fans will buy ANYTHING, but they'll buy Smackdown every year.
Me, I take a Madden stance on the Smackdown games and just buy them every other year (or less).
I did like All-Stars, but it was definitely more of a fighting game. I haven't played a WWE game since '11 but it seemed like every year they were removing small amounts of content, which seemed like they were gearing up for a DLC extravaganza to cash in on all those moves and appearance options that disappeared from the create-a-character. Or just sell old wrestlers outright and not give you the option to modify them.
WWE was huge in the 1990s with the Rock and Stone Cold and etc. It's no surprise that some of the best games out there were WWE. As WWE popularity kind of waned the games became more of a cash-in from THQ's POV while hardcore fans stayed on.
Actually during The Rock & Stone Cold's heyday the best wrestling games were WCW (vs. the World, World Tour & Revenge) then the WWE came in and poached AKI to make their next 2 games. They even put out WM2K only 3 months after their awful WWF Attitude game. Then they had No Mercy and the first Yukes Smackdown game in development at the same time, I think smackdown sold better (mainly due to it being available on the PS1 while No Mercy was only on the 64) but No Mercy was easily the better reviewed game and anyone who played both would agree that No Mercy was a better game. Then the WWE (or maybe THQ) dropped AKI in favor of Yukes. THQ was actually the publisher for both. Then AKI was hired to redesign WCW Mayhem 2 but the game was canned as soon as Vince bought WCW and the engine was moved over to Def Jam Vendetta.
Of course I can remember some of my first online message board ranting was over at GameFAQs to the kids who all thought that the PS1 games (Warzone & Attitude) were better because they looked better and had more options for visual customization, gameplay had no bearing on their opinions.
Not much has changed in 15 years.
I wish No Mercy didn't stutter all the time, I would have picked it up instead of WM2k.
Got a Weber One Touch 22 1/2 in Gold in Blue, excited to get to smoking some meats on it.

Just doing a first burn to make sure any residue from production is gone before cooking with it.

Word up. We're getting a fence this week, but I still need a righteous charcoal grill for cookout jams.
I will grill all of the pineapples btw.
I highly recommend one of the Weber kettles. Shit went together in like 10 minutes tops, and they're damn versatile.
Me and Pineapple will build you a grill no problem.
Don't grill Pineapple!
