Hell look at our very own Chux, I'm not saying he's swayed by periods of extreme hype or a rash purchaser, but he bought a PS4 at launch and has already sold it. Waiting to buy it again when games actually come out. Maybe an extreme system seller like FF back in the day MIGHT get a small percentage of people to buy a system long before the game has released, but do you really think there's MILLIONS of PS4's sold where people are just waiting for The Order to come out.
Personally I'm sick of nothing but Pre-rendered trailers, concept test trailers, or pitch trailers for titles that aren't going to see the light of day for another 2 years. I can understand showing a game when it's a year out, but if you have an inkling it's going to be longer than that, I'm sorry but it's silly. Specially when so much shit now adays either doesn't deliver in some way (visually, gameplay, promised features) or becomes vapourware.
