Super Mario 3D World (Wii U)

I just keep getting more excited.

I would only be more excited if it was sunshine 2.

God, I wish this were a 3DS game.

I am glad it's not.

This looks to be the best 3D Mario as it seems to have a real focus on linearity in movement

This. Its roots were designed for the effect. The Wii U game should have been of the 64/Sunshine/Galaxy lineage.

Yeah, I don't think there is much doubt.

I'd rather these games come out on better hardware. If they're going to make another game in the Mario line I'd always prefer it to look better and be on the big screen.

I do hope that this doesn't ruin the chances of a 3D game in the vein of 64 or Sunshine ever happening again. I loved the progressively changing levels, we haven't seen it in two generations now. Don't get me wrong, galaxy was fantastic, but I want sunshine 2.

I don't want any games to come out on 3DS. It's a garbage system.

WiiU, while underpowered, is still very passable. Don't need some rinky dink 3 inch screen 3D

Might as well play on the 3DS while rocking my Cracker Jack box surprise rings on each finger

I don't care if it started development on CDi and was called "Super Mario's Butthole", it's the best looking Mario and i don't like 3D Marios (except 3D Land, surprise)

Motokura: We did think about including Yoshi, but I guess you could say that in this game there are certain abilities that are similar to what Yoshi could do. For example, there’s a piranha flower that you can carry and attack enemies with. Also, Peach has her floating jump. So we did include those elements in the game. We also like to bring up this other dinosaur character that’s called Plessie, that all four characters can ride at the same time to go through the stage. I love Yoshi as much as anybody else, but I also love this new character. The thing that you can experience with Plessie that’s totally new is that you can ride one animal, basically, using four different characters at the same time. That’s a new experience.
