Not random. There's Rayman and Globox trophies in Wii U Smash already. They're the only unrelated, 3rd party characters in there. This makes plenty of sense.

If they were smart/devious, they'd make new DLC available with additional Amiibos. In other words, you'd need to Amiibo to unlock the character.
I only hope they do that, if they release them in large enough quantity to not be a pain in the ass to acquire.

Looks like if you pay a dollar, you can just use your 3DS as a Smash controller. I guess that's cheaper than a Pro Controller, but a hell of a lot more expensive than the new 3DS you'll have to buy when you wreck your Circle Pad.
I'm still not sure why anyone would ever want to do that.

So if you combine all of the DLC that's out now for Smash Bros Wii U, you're paying $30 for 4 fighters, 3 stages, and a bunch of Mii costumes.
That seems way too expensive when you consider that $30 is half the price of the regular game.
Mario Kart 8's DLC was a much better deal.
I like how in FE, Roy had a reverse grip stance that he awkwardly transitioned to normal grip attacks (with the sealed sword), and in this game, he has a normal grip stance that he transitions to reverse grip attacks.
Yeah, I really wish they'd done some kind of season pass/bundle offer; Mario Kart's and Hyrule Warriors' were insanely good values. Oh well, I guess this way I can just get Ryu and be done with it, since I don't really want the clones anyway.Quote:

It won't. With the free-to-play-start kick they've been on lately with 3DS, I wouldn't be surprised if the NX has Smash built-in at launch, with just a few characters (the original 8 from Smash 64?), and you buy or grind to unlock more.
