The story-gameplay problem with Catherine is exactly the same one I have with pretty much every game, 'why am I watching this and not doing that'. I still like the whole game though.

I didn't mind the gameplay/story formula in Catherine. I like how the hellish, frantic tower climbing clashes with the sublime experience of chilling at the Stray Sheep or whatever it's called. I just wanted more of the latter.
And maybe for some of the later puzzles to be not quite so brutal.
I like that you can (mostly) scramble on through if you're fast enough.
Afterburner II on the Saturn on a 50" TV. This is madness.
Sounds like barf bags may be necessary.
Oh, not much this month, or at least not much for more than 5 minute spurts.
Fez, which is gorgeous, but subliminally, I just can't shake how cunty its creator can be (based on his appearance in Indie Game.) I really want to like it, and I do... I just... can't bring myself to play it much yet.
McPixel is about as fun as McPixel can be, it's entertaining to watch other people play.
Stealth Bastard seems a'ight, I just toyed with it a bit tonight.
(Can you tell I've been humble bundling lately?)
I played The Walking Dead for the first time recently. Pretty neat. I like what Telltale has going on, even though I feel like it only has an illusion of interactivity sometimes.
Speaking of, I need to get on with Kentucky Route Zero Ep 2!
Mortal Kombat (Vita) - This is pretty great for story mode. Still feels too awkward for me to take it seriously, a block button for 2D still feels clumsy, and the character models remind me of a PS2/PSP game in the frequent closeups. But the writing is fun and silly, I like the varying viewpoints, the transitions from story to fighting are super fluid, and the moves are pretty cool. It makes me want to buy the PC version for better graphics and sound, which I think comes out this week.
WoW - Aside from screwing around with alts I think I'm pretty much done again. The LFR feature meant I could satisfy my craving to do all the raids without hunting down a good guild (even if that does put them on super easy mode), I'm almost done getting my gear to a somewhat respectable level, I did most of the Harvest Moon stuff, and I got myself some cool mounts. Most of the remainder of the content requires daily/rep grinding that I just don't much care for, especially since I don't really know anyone else playing anymore. Still, all of Pandaria is awesome, there's a ton of great quest chains, they did a fantastic job with integrating new lore, and some of the boss fights are so good it really makes me want to do them on hard modes. Wrathion is also a pretty cool guy.
Vindictus - Finally got a character past 50 and starting to put some time into Vella since I believe her new weapon is coming out this month, a new raid should be hitting soon, and a new greatsword-wielding berserker character who looks like fun should be out by the end of the year (hopefully). The higher levels are definitely a grind but I'd like to have an 80 one day.
I beat the story mode on 360, but I bought the Vita game for the extra content like the tower.
I might buy the PC version, because Mortal Kombat (and I want more fighters on PC).
I kind of do the same with Fez.
I played it for a little while when I first bought it and I do enjoy it's charming concept, music, and gameplay but I just haven't felt that compelled to go back to it yet whereas I'll play sort spurts of Super Meat Boy or something. I guess once I clear a bunch of other games I'll go back to it.
