The price killed me on a lot of it. 99% of what is coming out is not worth the $15 asking price or the $30/$40 Jp asking price.
And finding deals is half the fun, but it is so rare these days. Everyone has computer inventory or ebay. No one overstocks.
I still want all the 80s tfs though. I'm just not going to pay the current prices.
I used to like the idea of getting lots of figures, but the space factor is pretty big. I only ever got a few and they're not really on display any more. I'm much more into high quality posters and art books.
I sprinkle a few on book shelves. Like an original ackbar or Block Ox revelotech.
The 20 shelf from Walmart covered in 100 figs is lame.

I'll pick up the odd thing here or there for a few bucks, mostly just out of curiosity, and then give it to a friend or their kid.
I don't keep or collect anything.
eBay is a lot of it. For instance, I've always wanted a G1 Soundwave and all the tapes. I head over to ebay, and for a couple hundred it's mine, easily. It's not super fun anymore to pursue something i can grab online quickly. If I found one at a thrift store, I'd be stoked.Quote:

records are almost too easy to store. And they get heavy when you get a lot of them.
Records still have that thrill though. Nothing like going into a thrift and picking up stuff you've never heard of for 1.00-.50. Then getting it home and giving it that first listen.
