? I think that was Brett with the Jay Gruden call. I wanted a defensive HC. This hire doesn't give the warm and fuzzies.

I meant more last year really. Although the Tampa one is legit, they were down 21 to 0 just before halftime (and I believe Tampa won the next three games). In both playoff games last year he came from behind. He came from 20 down late in the game to a really good Atlanta team playing at home (but the defense didn't hold on the final drive). You have to have things go your way, sure, defense has to stop the other guys, but that's just what it is.
Jay Gruden AKA Jim Zorn Jr.
I think the Washington football team hiring Jay Gruden as their HC is a terrible move. We'll see how it turns out.
It was me and I have been pulling for this move since he was mentioned as a candidate, this isn't a Snyder hire, this is a Bruce Allen hire and Gruden won't ignore the defense so not hiring a D Coordinator doesn't bother me.
Total opposite personality than Zorn or Spurrier as well.
Too many critics in DC, let's see if RG3 just had a sophomore slump before we give up on him.
I don't know why you would give up on RG3. What people need to do is fix that crappy field and take advantage of his skill set.
I don't understand this point. You point to this year as 'the year they were exposed', but this year their two best WRs were out or gimpy, had an underperforming Steven Jackson (I got this part wrong) and a defense that started 5 or 6 rookies. And by the way they did manage to nearly win the final two games against two of the best teams in the NFL that needed to win those games, but they flubbed a stupid 2nd and 1 call near the goal line against SF and allowed a 5 yard fumble return for TD against Carolina. So those young guys are imporving quickly.
