Eli Manning stinks. The defense and pass rush won that Super Bowl.

And that somehow correlates with the point I'm making about arrogance?
The team is bad. The dumb moves of the Shanahan and his son/OC played a major part in the destruction of his knee, which in turn played a major part in his struggles last year. Meanwhile the defense was a huge pile of crap and the only thing people could talk about is how bad RG3 is and how his draft slot cost the team other talent (like it was his fault).
I would say the guy is frustrated, and I think he has a point.
I missed this. Did Eli win a Heisman?Quote:
... despite the fact that his pedigree was way better than RG's when he was drafted.
A Heisman doesn't mean shit. How was Chris Weinke's pro career? In fact, for QBs it might even be a negative indicator. Staubach is the only example I can think of that's a counter-example, and the voters may not have been as big of idiots way back then.
The team kicked beyond its coverage in 2012, thus setting themselves up for the 2013 campaign. Don't forget that they were 3-6 before The Miracle Run last year, during which Kirk Cousins led the team to victories during against the Ravens and Browns.
And how you do know that the Shanahans are solely responsible for RGDiva's knee? You don't think he lied and told the coaches he was okay when he really wasn't, especially after the Ravens game his rookie year? Please tell me you're not that naive to think RGDiva was forced to go in against his will. Remember All-in For Week 1 this year? Shanahan would have started Cousins at the beginning of the year if it weren't for Snyder (who I think is the real culprit since he wants to sell tickets at all costs), that's why he benched him the final 3 games; so he can get healthy because he was regressing.
Don't be obtuse. You know what I meant by Pedigree. Besides, Eli's 2 SB rings and 2 SB MVP awards say, "What's up?"Quote:

So now we're getting to the point where the Redskins' 2012 performance is thanks to Kirk Cousins?
This has been argued ad nauseum with a million different players and my position has never changed. Players want to play. They will always say they are alright. It is up to coaches and team doctors to make the call. I do put it on Shanahan, I always will put it on the coach. He completely botched up the end of last year, especially in the playoff game.
Is RG3's agent whispering in his ear telling him that Shanahan is a scoundrel and screwed everything up for him? Yes. I am sure there is. But that guy has a point!
If RG3 sat his ass down you would be calling him a diva for sitting his ass down. Don't say you wouldn't.
No, I didn't know what you meant, unless draft picks are determined by who your dad and bro is now. As I said before, Eli's 2 SB rings are thanks to the great defenses of those teams. He won those MVP awards because they can't give the award to an entire defense. Eli is not a good QB.
You're the one taking it there. Not me. I'm just stating the facts. He directly contributed to the team's success last year.

No, but his dad probably is. He's been known for his meddling back to the Baylor days. I think there's more to that situation and seeing how much influence RGDiva has on Snyder (because he's his Golden Goose) Shanny made a decision that was also influenced by RGD's input on how he felt and Shanny took his word for it. I think it was a heat of the moment situation that anyone could criticize with 20/20 hindsight.
I find it hard to believe you didn't know what I meant when you referenced Archie and Peyton. Shit, if Cooper hadn't had that neck issue he would have been an amazing WR. The Manning Pedigree is legit. I respect what RGSenior has done with his military service, but the Mannings are a breed of humans specifically put on this earth to play football, particularly the QB position.Quote:

And for the shit you keep talking about Eli's performance, I looked up his stats for the game and each team's defensive ranking for that year.
His first SB win - drove 83 yards with 2:42 remaining for the winning score. Yeah. A bad QB sure comes up in the clutch. NE had the 6th best passing defense in the NFL that year, NY had 11th best.
Second SB win - completed 75% of his passes for nearly 300 yards, 1 TD, no picks. Shitty, shitty numbers, I tell ya. Giants and NE both had shitty defenses that year.
With most of those yards due to the luckiest, most fluke play in NFL history.
Do you remember that game? The Giants pass rush dominated the O-line and got to Brady. Without that rush the Pats would've won by 30 points, because that's what they did all season.
Eli is not a good QB. I watched him all season thanks to the NFL regional schedule. It was painful. He sucks. Here are the stats of two players, one is Eli and one is...?
Player A: 59.0% completion, 234 TDs, 117 INTs, 85.6% passer rating
Player B: 58.5% completion, 229 TDs, 171 INTs, 81.2% passer rating
... and yet that has NOTHING to do with his overall argument.
I'm glad Eli's stats REALLY affect RGDiva's lack of leadership skills and overall 2013 ego due to his outbreak first season. I mean WOW man ... Eli's completion percentage REALLY helped RGDiva's MCL and ACL injury.
really guys? REALLY?
I still haven't seen any convincing evidence of this so called "overall 2013 ego." Shit team led by shit coaches and he was recovering from a bad knee injury. Truth is he's probably not as good as he was in 2012 but he's also not as bad as he was in 2013. Surround him with some talent and a coach who didn't get his job because of his daddy and I think he can do a lot in the league.
