I love that game, but it's not game-y enough to compete with "game" games.

Agreed with Chux. The most fun I have with that game is seeing the cool shit other people dump thousands of hours into (the rollercoasters in particular are awesome).
Edit: Now that I'm not on my phone, this is the kind of thing I mean. This duo makes some really creative stuff, including a Ghostbusters rollercoaster.
I've still never played it.
The initial survival element is really cool but beyond that there's nothing at all for me. It's more of a toy than a full-fledged game, which is fine, just not what I prefer.
That's probably true since he's the only one that listed Dishonored so far.Quote:

Dark Souls is my #1 pick, without a doubt. Fire Emblem: Awakening, Gears of War, the Mass Effect trilogy, and Super Meat Boy are all on there somewhere. I would include Bionic Commando: Rearmed but technically that's a remake.
It is a game from this gen, though, so it ought to count. But yeah go finish Dishonored, it's quality.
1. DOTA 2
Come at me faggots
It has a nice graphical style and I liked some of the backstory. The rest of the game is, well, it's like Bioshock in that it's technically competent but not actually interesting or compelling to play, and I had to force myself to slog through most of it. I wanted to like it a lot more than I did.I was going to make a fake quote from you earlier that just had DOTA 2 for all 10 spots. <3Quote:

Borderlands 2
FTL
X-COM EU
L4D2
Pac-Man CE
Gears of War 2
CoD Black Ops 2 - Zombies mode is the 2nd best zombie game I've ever played after L4D2, it's a shame it'll cost anyone $60 + the game to play it all).
Dragon Quest IX
Fallout 3
The Pinball Arcade
Mass Effect Trilogy
Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale
Defense Grid: The Awakening
Civilization V
Plants vs. Zombies (pc)
Star Wars The Old Republic - After dropping 300+ hours into this, it's hard to leave off the list.
